I have had time to think and digest what happened last night and I believe everyone needs to know what happened to us. Since Fus just re-opened in another location my sister and I thought it would be a great idea to grab dinner and some drinks. I have lived in Canada for 11 years and I have NEVER had a racial confrontation incident with any manager at a restaurant before, there are subtle micro aggressions and poor services at establishments we receive from time to time based on the colour of our skin but never anything like this. The manager treated us so poorly and I want everyone to know because it was HORRIBLE !!!
We had a conversation with the manager in which we narrated the miscommunication that may have happened between her usher/server after we lost a table for reseating. I tried correcting the story that she had received from her server which described us as having “attacked” her and “attacked” is the word she used. She approached us charged with her aggressive body language and undressed me and my guests, she was incredibly rude, combative and confrontational. Her body language was aggressive, her verbiage and the way she conducted herself up in my face to a point where you could tell that she was poking to try and get a reaction or rise out of us and least we react we will be called “Angry Black Women”.
She was condescending and proceeded to tell us that, “that’s why there are reservations for a reason” and continued to antagonize us and then later called the security on us and asked us to leave. She had the opportunity to rectify her conduct and address us in a more dignified manner like we deserve because we are human beings but she did not. You cannot offer horrible service as a manager and then expect me pay after your racist behaviour, you must be joking. Only a fool would ask us to pay for drinks after we have had a such a horrible experience.
Black folks this message is for you, I would do you a disservice if I didn’t warn y’all. Go at your own risk and peril.
P.s While I was seating having my drink waiting for my sister and friend I took a picture which captured this quote, “They wanted to silence him so the information wouldn’t leak”. How ironic because we will not be SILENCED.

Read moreFu's Repair Shop is undeniably one of the best restaurants in Edmonton for Asian cuisine. Our recent visit to this vibrant eatery left us thoroughly impressed with both the food and the service.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with a bustling atmosphere, quite remarkable for a Thursday evening. Thankfully, we had made a reservation, which is highly recommended due to the restaurant's popularity.
The menu boasts a variety of intriguing dishes, but the standouts for us were the pork wonton in chili oil, the miso goma salad, and the crazy rich rice noodles. The pork wontons were delicate and packed with flavor, perfectly complemented by the spicy chili oil. The miso goma salad was a refreshing start to our meal, with a delightful blend of flavors and textures that left us craving more. However, the highlight was undoubtedly the crazy rich rice noodles. This dish was an explosion of taste, with a rich, savory sauce that perfectly coated the tender noodles.
For dessert, we indulged in the Kansai mess, a deconstructed cheesecake that was nothing short of perfection. My wife particularly loved this dessert, and I must agree, it was a delightful end to our meal.
Our server, Morsal, was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Her recommendations were spot on, enhancing our dining experience.
I also must mention the mango lassi cocktail, which was a refreshing and innovative twist on the classic drink. It was the perfect accompaniment to our meal, adding a sweet and tangy note that I thoroughly enjoyed.
