LOVEPIZZA Canterra — Restaurant in Edmonton

Very disappointed how downhill this location has been run since the new ownership. I’ve visited twice since the changes were made. The first time in Oct 2024 where I entered the store, waited 5 mins (I timed) and left because loud music was playing and no staff member appeared to be working? The second time was today. I entered the store and of the 4 (maybe 5) tables available tables to eat at, only 1 was clean. The woman working pointed at the menus and the disappeared to the back so I had to wait for her to finish whatever she was doing before I could order. I don’t think she looked me in the eye during the entire interaction and definitely did not have a friendly or warm demeanour. Its shocking to see how this place has gone from a trendy and inviting atmosphere where friends and families were encouraged to dine together, to an outdated and dirty take-out spot. The menus and infographic signage have not been updated so most have been unprofessionally taped over with green painters tape. The few tables and chairs they now have appear to be lacking any upkeep and the chairs are splintering. Prices have increased, and quality has decreased. It’s a shame that this location no longer values their brand image or their customers’ experience. I’ve shared lots of pleasant memories here in the past, but unfortunately do not anticipate returning...

Today, my partner and I ordered a LOVEPIZZA (Downtown) Plain Jane pizza (16”*6”), added the gluten-free option for an extra $3.5, and selected 3 toppings, one of which was Fresh Arugula. We paid $32 plus a $5 tip (Uber Eats). However, we received a round pizza that was 8 inches in diameter with wilted yellow-brown arugula! We have been to this place before and ordered the same pizza, which was delicious and everything was great. But today, on Valentine's Day, what a disappointment.

We called the place twice, explaining that we paid for a 16*6 inch pizza with fresh arugula, but received an 8-inch pizza with wilted arugula for $32. However, the woman on the phone refused to cooperate and insisted that we received what we ordered, stating that they don't have a different size for gluten-free. She told us to eat what we got (even though we had selected a different pizza). I explained that nowhere was it stated that we would receive a pizza half the size for an additional charge. No matter how much I tried to explain that this was not what I ordered, and that for $32 I could have ordered a regular pizza if it had been stated anywhere that the size would be half (not to mention the wilted arugula).

They really ruined our celebration and didn't...

I have been here a few times and it was good but this last time there were different employees and it was disappointing . First off I arrived and the employee was busy doing delivery orders and there was another employee a female who popped out for a short bit but then disappeared . I was left standing there waiting for probably 5 minutes which was a bit long but okay . I noticed there were no pizza crusts ready and the woman eventually came over and made one but its quality was so so ..its was really thin in spots and had holes . The other guy , a younger indian employee ,eventually got to me and he used that thin crust w holes and then went thin on the toppings which was disappointing . I didn't say anything but that sealed it that I'll never go back The pizza was nothing like what I had during prior experiences . It was just tomato sauce and cheese mainly and the crust was hard / crumbly where it was too thin I'm not sure why the woman could not have helped me seeing the other guy was busy with delivery pizzas ....and not sure why they were going so thin on the toppings trying to save it...
