McDonald’s — Restaurant in Edmonton

I would have given this restaurant a few more stars in terms of service, however the following are a few things I would look into if I were managing this place.

I ordered via the drive through and ordered but when I got to the next window - no-one was there. I waited for a few minutes and still no-one showed up. I then assumed it was the far window I was supposed to be at, so I moved forward towards that one. Still no-one there. Waiting another 5 minutes and still no-one showed up. So I pulled around and physically had to go inside to collect my order. Not really ideal, I have legs and can use them - but some communication would be nice. I asked the server / cashier about my order and she just handed me a bag without any explanation or vetting of my order. I could have just walked in off the street and asked.... I wasn't expecting that.

The other day, we ordered delivery from here and my order was custom and was wrong. I would guess that orders need to be checked or double checked even before packaging. Assuming they are correct after being wrapped is not correct. They should be checked again before wrapping. Pretty much basic QC/QA process there folks. Anyways, McDonald's is McDonald's but I think that it would be costly mistakes as the delivery service just refunds us and doesn't necessarily...

I went through the drive through with my mother as a passenger and had a four meal order! I paid at one window and drove to the next for the pickup! They tried to pass me my order without bagging it. I live on Edmonton and clearly asked for a bag and drink tray when I placed the order! So I insisted my order be out in a bag! Now I don't know why but when we arrived at my mother's house we were shorted an Egg McMuffin sandwich and a hash brown! Being two kilometers away and with no receipt I didn't go back! However this has happened to me at more than one McDonalds in Edmonton and again a missing sandwich and fries! I am not against young people working but I don't like to be shorted on my orders! This problem happens again and I will boycott McDonalds all together! What's wrong when I worked at McDonald's back in 1976 I always.performed my duties to be friendly accurate and timely at a fast food restaurant! These days some of the young adults look as they slept in there uniform some cannot speak English or understand what you are saying! Please McDonalds hire...

Food is always great here but eating inside in the evening is an absolute disaster. The manager Ali just stands on his phone in the front neglecting customers who are waiting to order, the young staff is always extremely disrespectful and always socializing/fooling around and it looks very unprofessional. Not to mention every time I’m in here almost every single table is riddled with garbage and used trays, napkin/ketchup dispenser is 90% of the time empty. I also watched an employee today mop the entire restaurant but avoid every piece of garbage on the ground and proceeded to leave the garbage on the ground after he was done. I understand this is a McDonald’s and expectations shouldn’t be high, but a little more pride and effort taken by the manager to properly delegate the employees to effectively keep the restaurant clean and be respectful should be taken into account and would really make this...
