Am visiting Canada from US where I am Papa John's regular customer and have loved their pizza and sides from the first time I had them. This being my first visit to Alberta Canada, I was very apprehensive when I walked into the this Papa John's locally owned franchise at Bonnydoon, Edmonton. I wasn't sure if I would get the same vibe and taste or not. Store is very approachable and easy to locate. At the onset I was impressed with the huge parking space available for the visitors and customers. You would never be struggling to find a space to park your car here. On entering the store I was greeted and welcomed by one of the brightest smiles I have ever seen and one of most melodious and charming 'Hi' I have ever heard. It was from this girl who apparently is now a supervisor there. She was very courteous and easy to talk to. While there I observed that all the protocols that I witness in US were followed here too. These guys also make their pizza from fresh dough that is tossed right in front of your eyes since it has an open make line that you can see through while your pizza is being prepared. Talking about make-line, this store had one of cleanest and spot less make line that I have ever seen in my life. One can immediately notice and make out that these folks pay high attention to cleanliness and maintain high standards of hygiene. On enquiring, I got to know that this store cuts their vegetable topping fresh everyday which was evident in the taste that I relished later on when I had my pizza. After ordering my pizzas, I had to step out for a call which lasted almost 30 mins. When I walked back in I expected my pizza to be cold and soggy, however to my surprise, owner has a warmer installed that keeps pizzas fresh and hot till the time they deliver it. What came as a welcome and pleasant surprise was an offer from the franchise owner to make a fresh pizza if I wanted. Never ever have I seen such high levels of customer centricity and service. But I guess all of this would have meant nothing had the taste not been up to the mark. I had ordered their epic stuffed pepperoni pizza, chicken barbeque pizza, Super Hawaiian pizza, Garden Fresh pizza, sauced chicken wings, chicken poppers and bites for a small get together with my friends. Each one of the item was finger licking delicious. Maybe the best that I have ever tasted. There isnt a rating that is higher than 5 stars otherwise I would have rated it even higher than 5 for its location, cleanliness and hygiene, courteous staff, friendly and warm environment, great customer service, value for money and of course the taste!
Kudos to this store's manager and the team! 👍 Highly recommended to visit/ order...
Read moreI'll start by saying the food was very good. We had pizza along with several sides and it was all delicious. What really left a bad taste in our mouths was the service from the lady at the store. Unbelievably rude. When we walked in to pick up our online order we were not greeted or welcomed, instead we were shouted at. "Yeah"?! Was how we were approached. Another "Yeah"?! Shortly after. We responded with we are here to pick up our order... "name"? Was how she responded. After bringing the order to the counter we asked about the bottle of pop that comes with the combo. The face she made was like we were stupid for asking her about it and was very unappealing to be honest. I told her the combo comes with a bottle of pop and then she realized she made a mistake and quickly went to get the pop from the fridge. Instead of taking accountability she just kind of half smiled as she handed it to us. Even after we paid and were leaving there was no thank you, enjoy your meal. Nothing. I've said it before with other establishments and I'll say it with this one too... I felt as if I was inconveniencing her based off of the interaction we received. I don't feel that this person's people skills and especially customer service skills are very good at all. It turned me off from wanting to go to this location again to be honest. Perhaps the next visit won't be...
Read moreLast night, I've had my worst pizza dining experience ever. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger pizza, with a cheese dip and bluecheese dip. What I got was a cheese that did not taste like cheese, the blue cheese dip was missing, and the bacon cheeseburger pizza that was the most disgusting pizza I have ever had. It did not look or taste like a bacon cheeseburger pizza. I've had better pizza at other pizza places. I only had 2 piece of that pizza, I vomited up the pizza and I throw out the rest of the pizza in to the garbage can. I wasted $20 something dollars on this whole experience. And I had to go somewhere else in order to have dinner. And when I called the store, the manager was uncaring, and I got a pathetic excuse for a I'm sorry, and the manager said, the they could only offer a 10 % off my next pizza. Why would I want to go back to a place like theirs, to experience a second disappointment. I called the head officer of Papa Johns pizza and filed a complaint, they took the complaint and told me that it is up to the pizza store, to fix things. I warn everyone who loves pizza, to stay clear from Papa Johns, they will give you disgusting pizza and...
