Added note: Was served moldy buns last week. So yea, with the blades, the moldy buns, and everything else definitely won't come back and making a complaint.
I hardly do reviews but I felt that this customer needed justice and let people know to be careful with their fries. Plus, just give a statement of the experiences I've had.
I came by the other day and I felt bad for this family when I was waiting for my food. The dad found a blade in his fries. It made me sick to witness that, especially that they had their little girl there too. The dad was lucky that the blade was in his fries and not hers. The blade was quite large too. I know accidents may happen, but for a restaurant to be charging a burger for 10-15 bucks or 4-5 bucks for handcut fries. I find it sad. Plus, the situation didn't seem to be resolved especially how the family were still visibly upset when they left. So definitely keep an eye out on your fries!
Now for the food:
The burger's can be hit and miss. Hit meaning it's perfectly made and not over salted. A miss because it's over salted.
Their fries they are hand cut and once again hit and miss. They can be perfectly cooked but lots of times I've had them under done or very oily.
I don't understand why there's an inconsistency. I would assume all the staff would have have the proper training to know how to keep up the consistency. One can only question.
If your vegan, please know they cook their vegan friendly burgers on the grill that the meat patties were grilled on too. The only reason I bring this up is due to a friend telling me she couldn't get anything there because they cook on the same grill.
The store representation is sometimes on and off. I've came in on slow days and the seating area is a mess. Tables not wiped or napkins on the floor. I understand on busy days to get away with it but, being left alone for 15-30 mins while your cashier isn't doing anything and waiting around for another customer. Doesn't make sense.
Lastly, the staff. I've seen people come and go. Seems like a high turnover rate at that store. Makes me wonder if it's the manager or the staff. Although, I've met lots of lovely enthusiastic staff members who go above and beyond! I've also been in that store where I assume it's the manager "talks down" to them as children. I understand it's the restaurant business and it must be taken very seriously but, there's always a better way of communication than to treat them like complete dirt and make the staff feel that they are worthless there. Plus, if you have to get personal and make very rude remarks then I say there's a problem how the manager manages things and it should be overlooked at.
I don't know, I used to LOVE this place but something changed. I was never disappointed with their food until these past few months. I hope things go back when I was first introduced to Burger Priest until then, I'm gunna stick with homemade...
ย ย ย Read moreI was filled with anticipation to finally experience Burger Priest, having heard glowing reviews about it. Today seemed like the perfect day to give it a try. Unfortunately, I chose the wrong location on the wrong day. As my wife and I pulled up, we were greeted by the sight of someone falling ill just outside the restaurant. Although unrelated to the establishment itself, it certainly heightened our sensitivity.
Entering the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised to find it completely empty. The woman who took our order was polite, creating a positive initial impression. However, as we looked for a clean table to sit at, we discovered that every single one was dirty. This was quite shocking, considering the absence of customers. Despite this, we managed to find the least soiled table. Wanting to use the restroom, I requested the access code. To my dismay, the staff handed me a rubber spatula with a tag attached, which had a chunk of something stuck to it. Hastily, I decided to memorize the code instead.
Upon entering the restroom, I was met with a disheartening scene. The seat and floor were splattered with urine, and the faucet and soap dispenser appeared neglected and uncleaned. Understandably, the restaurant cannot be held responsible for the untidiness caused by inconsiderate individuals. However, with no customers to attend to and at least three visible staff members, some effort could have been made to address these issues.
Up until this point, I attributed my growing unease to the previous incident with the sick individual. However, my concerns escalated when a person emerged from the backroom with a bandaid on their finger, casually discussing their cut. To my dismay, they then proceeded to hang the dirty rubber spatula, without washing their hands, right beside the cash register. Without any hand hygiene, they handled the change in the tip jar, pressed buttons on the screen, and placed the change back in the till. Furthermore, they picked up stainless steel parts of the fryer, which were presumably meant for use. Disturbingly, I observed another person handling the same items and proceeding to assemble our burgers. The only individual I witnessed washing their hands was a woman who had just started her shift. After washing her hands, she went straight to the cash register. In that moment, I fully realized the unhygienic culture that seemed to prevail in the restaurant, prompting me to request a refund. Regrettably, I didn't even have the opportunity to taste the food that I had been eagerly anticipating.
I must emphasize that I am not typically a germaphobe like Howard Hughes, but the uncleanliness I witnessed was grossly unacceptable. The potential ingestion of bacteria was a genuine concern and left me...
ย ย ย Read moreThe decor and music was typical of your sit down burger joint, and it seemed to work much like five guys and fries. One problem was that the lights made it difficult to read the menu. The menu was also poorly laid out, so finding side options and drink options was confusing.
The young lady at the counter rarely smiled. She also seemed in hurry to take our order that we often had to repeat what we said to ensure everyone understood. We were given a number and asked to sit. We paid for drinks (a milkshake and a pop) but we're not told to grab them, which we figured out shortly after sitting down. The pop only came in cans. The wait was about 15 minutes on a slow evening.
Our bill came to $27. We ordered a single bacon cheeseburger, the fiery furnace burger, one side of fries and gravy and our drinks. When we got our food we were disappointed by the size of the items. The milkshake came in a small cup, the fries were equivalent to a medium sized McDonald's fries. The burgers were on the smallish size though the patties were 6-8 ounces.
Taste: very mediocre. The patties were on the bland side. The buns were fluffy with air, much like a bun on a discount menu item at a fast food joint. Although we ordered fully loaded, the toppings were scanty and I had to add ketchup to mine as it was dry. The fries were salty but good. The gravy came in a small plastic container and was made from a mix but I liked it with the fries. However, overall the meal was not filling. Husband called it an expensive snack.
Overall we felt that for the price they were charging they could try to offer slightly larger servings or better quality food. We will not be...
