I watched my neighbour, Amanda, phone into the store to complain about the service she had received this morning. The gentleman who answered the phone, stated that he was just an average employee and had no answers, no advice, no solutions to her issue. He stated that there were no managers there to address her concern, but he did state that he would get the manager to contact her as soon ad possible.
A woman then phoned a couple hours later. My neighbour had the phone on speaker phone and 5 of us were gathered around to see how this situation would be dealt with.
The female on the other end of the phone who identified herself as Bhupinder Kaul, the store manager, began screaming at my neighbour on the phone that “she herself was away from the store due to personal issues and her supervisor was ill, and they are short staffed. We ALL felt like this manager was saying it’s Amanda’s fault they are short staffed and she received below acceptable service at the store.
Amanda then replied that she, being a manager herself, can totally appreciate the stress of having to ensure your establishment is adequately staffed, as well as ensuring all employees are properly trained to provide the type of outstanding service we Canadians have come to expect and love from all Tim Hortons staff, however, it is extremely unprofessional of any manager to A- scream at a customer and B- share details/excuses as to why your store is short staffed, and make the customer feel like it is their fault.
The female “manager” continued to scream at Amanda, and after Amanda asked for the spelling of the managers name, the manager was very ignorant and continued to say her name instead of spelling it. None of us could tell what the “managers” name was by her saying it constantly, and even when she finally did spell it, she screamed it so fast, none of us could get the appropriate spelling until we noticed that she had phoned from her personal phone and her name came up on the caller ID.
I personally have had horrible experiences at this particular Tom Hortons, nothing was ever done about it.
How many people need to make complaints about how ignorant this manager is before something will get done about it?

You actually have to give them Manager‘s name if you’re working in a retail facility and someone’s not happy with how you’re acting what is your name she refused it so I turned off my truck and I waited in the drive-through until I got a name ; After me sitting there for about five or six minutes, the lady Says Rupinder is the manager she doesn’t have the authority to talk to me. She is in another country…………… I said OK great who’s the owner here then she said she doesn’t know the owner doesn’t deal with the company so something needs to Change here big time, This is my first and my absolute last time coming to this location and if I continue to get treated like a piece of garbage when I go to the drive-through or inside and English is not understood when we were in an English-speaking country, then I won’t go to Tim Hortons anymore, and I know they don’t care because the business is coming in either way because of their brand but at the end of the day, whoever is the owner of this company Should be ashamed of who works for them .

She had nothing to do with customer service, only worried about her drive-thru timer. My phone had a glitch when i tried to pay and it took few extra seconds for me to pay.
