Freshslice Pizza — Restaurant in Electoral Area A

It’s one of the better fresh slice pizza places in the city. I absolutely grilled the one on Fraser because I swore they were using fillers in their dough. I contemplated contacting the food inspector but relented. It never made me sick.

The pizza I had here was drastically different and much better tasting so I credit the staff for that. What prompted this 2 star review is the LMIA controversy, that this location was seeking to employ foreign workers when there’s thousands of students looking for jobs within steps of this place. Seems very scammy and dishonest. Was the LMIA and subsequent 4 visas issued for family members of the owner? They are going to get nailed to the cross for this. Complete stupidity and disregard for the future of Canada.

After I had the pizza filled with what was probably sawdust from the Fraser location and now this, I can’t eat pizza from Fresh Slice anymore. I wish there were more Pizza Pizza locations in Vancouver but rest assured the one in Kits is always convenient for me to get a pizza. Never again...

When I have visited for the 1st time, I have asked one of their staffs whether their chicken is Halal.

That person assured me that their Chicken is HALAL. I was happy at that time.

Unfortunately, I have noticed that they made butter chicken pizzas and BBQ Bacon pizzas together on the same tray.

I had ordered 2 slices of butter chicken pizzas, I found pieces of pork in it.

I showed them to the staff. They replied that they will be careful and will report their manager my concern of their making Butter chicken pizzas & BBQ Bacon pizzas on the same tray together.

The girl working there Avineet, is awesome. Whenever I go there and they don't have pizza(I usually get the Butter chicken pizza) in the warmer, she is always ready to make a new one with a smile. I have not seen this welcoming behavior in other freshslice locations. Keep up the good work ! Overall a nice location to grab a good pizza.
