I can't say enough, but Nori bento is one of the most affordable and high-quality restaurants on campus if you're interested in Japanese food. From the bento options, I like the beef and katsu. For me, the bento is enough for two portions, but I usually eat less than a normal person, I think. The spicy udon noodles with spicy laska broth was nice, and my friend had a good experience. The spicy level for me was 8/10, but it was a nice kind of spiciness, so I definitely recommend it if you like spicy food. The sushi is also nice, but you need to visit the store in person as they're not available for delivery. We usually include one sushi roll, and they're always fresh and good. Also, they have nice staff, and they're pretty quick as well.

As I explored the UBC campus, some of my friends had gotten hungry, so we decided to get lunch. A few us split to another food service place, and another few went here. I would say that after trying the Angry Chicken and the Bulgolgi Rice Bowl, I can properly say that my afternoon had become 100% better. The chicken was perfectly fried, with a balance of umami and spice. For the bulgolgi, the texture was excellent, with the perfect chew and bite. Sweet and Savory, and of course, the rice balanced it perfectly. This was true perfection. Also, funnily enough, I saw a kid working out the window and that drawn me in. I knew this place was going to be the best of my best. ( ´∀` )b

It gets the job done if you have a craving for bento or sushi, but not the greatest. Portion size is okay, but everything is a little lacking in flavour and the rice and croquettes are pretty greasy. On some occasions the food has been better than others - I've never had a terrible experience here, but the quality floats around just alright to underwhelming. Service is also slower than I would expect for fast food, although the staff is nice. Again, though, it's good for satisfying a craving for Japanese comfort food if you don't have the time to go somewhere nicer.

The udon served here is not the best quality udon. The flour is low quality and the udon smells stale and has a mushy floury center. It seems to be cooked in a rolling boil which overcooks the outside and undercooks the middle of the udon. The most important thing about the soup served with any noodles is that it should be freshly made. Instead the soup here has the rancid greasy aftertaste of a soup that has been standing for a few days. The portions here are average with a pinch of chopped green onions on top. All served in a disposable bowl. Overall it was a not a good meal. The greasy soup left a vile taste in my mouth and had me feeling nauseated for a few hours after eating. I do not recommend the Niku Udon at all. The bento box we ordered looked tired and unappealing with a wilting salad with some unappetising looking California rolls. Again looks like nothing was freshly made here too. It tasted consistently as bad as the Udon. Truth be told I would have preferred to...

I didn’t have high expectations because it’s just cheap fast food, but I was really disappointed with my meal. I got the curry udon. The udon noodles were far too soft and sloppy, not even anywhere close to the authentic chewy and firm texture that udon noodles are supposed to have. I could have over looked that if the flavour and other elements delivered more, but that wasn’t the case. There was hardly any meat and the curry sauce was runny, watery, and it didn’t have that distinct authentic Japanese curry flavour like CoCo Ichibanya. Instead it tasted watery and peppery. I know this is just cheap fast food, but it was so bad that I threw half away and went to get a piece of pizza instead. I’m considering giving this place another try, because maybe the other dishes are better? But there are lots of other places to choose from at UBC so I’ll probably just take a hard...

One of the best Japanese food restaurant in the campus. But here are four things you should not do there: 1.You should not come in Saturday. They open at 11am and the food quality is not so good as in workdays; 2.You should not come when they’re about to close. The soup provided along with bento boxes always ran out at the end of the day but you could still ask for the beef soup; 3.You should not order the tariyaki, since the bento boxes has already contained a large amount of rice and they also have four California sushi rolls, while you just need to pay only 1 dollar more to upgrade the tariyaki into bento boxes with each kinds; 4.You should not order Bubly as your drinking since it tasted so bad that it doesn’t even worth 1 dollar. My personal favorite food: 1.Chicken bento box 2.Curry beef 3.Beef bento box 4.Niki Tama(Only the soup is different than...
