This place came highly recommended by a friend of ours, so naturally, we met him up there to try it out. I ordered the Beef Fried Rice Noodle and a ready made passionfruit juice that looked very appealing. My girlfriend and our friend each got something different so we could sample different dishes. I will say the portion size is generous, and the food tasted fresh and good. The 10 dollar price is well worth it. We sat down on their sunny patio to enjoy our meal before going on with our day. One feature I did like was their eco friendly containers/plates and eating utensils. (with the exception of course of the sealed Juice glass, but some things cannot be changed without risking freshness). The Staff are friendly and eager to get you exactly what you want, and the ambiance matches that. I will certainly return to this place if I am back in the area.

Today me and my friend decided to visit Sesame because it looked interesting. The visuals were nice, but the service. When I arrived I had ordered 1 Pad Thai and 1 Hainese Chicken, as you can see in the picture, that chicken was not Hainese, and the rice that came with it was Fried Rice when we specifically requested white rice. They had said, "We'll make you a new batch of rice."But no, they had not done so. Not only was the skin on the chicken browned, chewy, and flavorless, the PAD THAI had lost it's Thai, lacking all flavour to the point I was offend by them. No spice(it was said the Pad Thai was Spicy), no flavor, and wrong order. For public information, I also had to correct my Pad Thai order. I understand that students and all of us can have bad days, but I can not excuse disgusting service served with a smile.

I went in today and ordered their Mapo Tofu and was extremely disappointed by the food and service. What they served me was tofu cooked with peas, carrots and corn over rice. The description on their website says that it's "tofu in savoury and spicy sauce with white rice" and what I got was definitely NOT that. The worst part was that when I went back to the store and asked them if they got the order wrong and if they could fix it they just turned me down and argued that this was what it's supposed to be.

When this place first opened, the food taste decent and a place I would go back to. I remembered their sweet and sour pork was crispy and other items I ordered also tasted good. Well I went back today (ordered delivery) and it was terrible. I think something changed. The dishes don't look like what is in the picture. Sesame chicken - 1st time trying, was horrible. Tasted like it had been sitting in a warmer. Not crunchy and almost soggy. Suppose to come with plain white rice (as per picture in menu) but came with their "fried rice" which is really my guess. It was some brown colored rice with a few bits of chopped up frozen vegetables in it? I hadn't eaten this kind of "fried rice" since 30 years ago when I went to a small town where they didn't know what real fried rice was suppose to look or taste like. Next I had wonton noodle soup. My expectation wasn't high for the wonton, I knew it was going to be just a chunk of meat wrapped in a wonton wrapper. (ie not authentic). The worse part was not the wonton but the noodles. They put the soup together with the noodles in the take out container and so it tasted really really mushy and over cooked. I also ordered the beef with flat rice noodles, a Cantonese style crispy fried noodle. Cantonese Noodles were not crispy at all as so much sauce and sprouts was on top of it. The flat rice noodles was so so but not particularly tasty either. Overall, food was really disappointing...

This was our first time visiting this place. My son saw a poster outside that showed congee, and he really wanted some, so we walked in. However, I didn’t see congee on the menu inside, so while my kids were using the restroom, I carefully went through the menu again and looked around to see if congee was available, or if we could choose something else instead.

While I was trying to figure that out, an Asian lady working there told me that the restroom was for customers only and kept pressuring me to order something immediately. I explained multiple times that I was waiting for my kids to come out so we could decide together, but she kept pushing me to place an order right away.

The whole interaction felt very uncomfortable and forceful, like she was trying to pressure me into buying something I hadn’t even decided on. She even acted like giving us a small piece of toilet paper was some huge favor. It was an unpleasant experience that left a really bad impression. Definitely won’t be...

I was disappointed by the inconsistent enforcement of rules at this restaurant. My wife bought her lunch here, and I got mine from another restaurant. We sat together at a table in front of this restaurant, which still had available seating. Just as we started eating, a staff member told me to leave, stating that outside food was not allowed. I explained that my wife had purchased her meal here and that we just wanted to eat together, but he still refused. I respected their rule and left.

However, when we finished our meal elsewhere and passed by again, I saw another person—who was not Chinese—eating pizza in front of this restaurant. No one asked him to leave, even though pizza was clearly not from this restaurant. This experience made me question whether the rule was truly enforced consistently for all customers. On top of that, the food was below average, and the service was disappointing. Given this experience, I wouldn’t...
