Mr. Souvlaki — Restaurant in Gatineau

My star ratings are all over the place so hear me out. The place is brand new and looks great inside and my salad with chicken souvlaki tastsd delicious, but my partner waited 10 minutes for someone to come out to serve him. He even went next door to ask if someone was there and the man that finally came out from the back to serve him looked like he was fighting for his life to climb out of bed that morning. The chicken to salad ratio was the most disappointing part. 4 tiny pieces of chicken, and especially for $42 dollars for 2 salads and 2 drinks. If the man threw on a smile while serving customers and they beefed up the meat supply (pun intended) this place would be a regular go to for me.

EDITED TO ADD. I changed all my stars to 1. Don't fall for the looks of them responding and asking us to email them. I did email them promptly after their comment and they still have not responded. All to say they rip people off and then pretend they care in the public eye on...

This review is going to be sort of a mixed bag. The food here is very good. I've ordered from here a few times now and it's delicious. The problem I have though is it's quite expensive for the quantity. Last time I ordered I got a chicken souvlaki plate and again, it was delicious but the potatoes I got were 2 wedges. The previous time it was 3 wedges. The plate was mostly rice and was over $20. Another time, I got the greek fries and they were over $10 but again, the size was very small for the price. They were delicious but for that size I would have expected to pay $6 or maybe $7.

It could be that the walkin price is much less, in which case the price point could be valid but for delivery, it feels like it's over priced by about 30-35 %.

So will I order from there again, most definitely I will because the food is delicious but everytime I do, I'm going to feel like I got short changed on the quantity.

The food is actually very good but ordering for delivery is a disaster. Their app rarely works and whether you order from their app or website, the prices advertised will not match the checkout price. They are currently promoting Apollo bowls for $10 but it defaults to the regular price of $12.50 as soon as you go to check out. There are always missing items in your delivery as well, and they do not seem to pay attention to the food requests that they offer as options on their website (for example, my last bowl came with olives even though I specified no olives). I called to explain these issues (just to see if I could get the undelivered food and maybe have someone look into the pricing issue) but they just argued with me and then dismissed me.
