I've been cooking professionally for seventeen years and have traveled all over eating food - including Paris and San Francisco. This is the real deal, folks. One of the places when you go once, you go again and again. From my travels, you can't get better bread and pastries (dare I say it) in all of Alberta or even Western Canada - even some big shots in San Francisco
The baguette is one of the best damn things I've ever had in years - threw some good 'ol Butter, Ham and Swiss on it and I was literally brought back to Paris.
If you buy "baguettes" at Safeway for $3.00 and have a vehicle - put your head down in shame. Seriously. You can get bread here that is 100000x better for a bit more ($3.75 a baguette here for a night and day difference). Seriously - put that baguette down the next time you're at the grocery store and come here instead.
No, you can't get Uber Eats or Skip through this place. Why would you? Half the experience is walking into the store. This is the standard for all things pastries and bread in Edmonton.
10/10. Perfection. SUPPORT THIS LOCAL BUSINESS!! They deserve it.

I could spend the rest of this review naming other bakeries that just can't quite get it right, but it's more efficient to say this is the real deal - there are master artisans at work here - incapable of making mistakes, who would rather die than serve an inferior product. They are not churning out recipes to feed the masses, NO! The passion and drive to know more is always there to be savored in the crust and crumb - it is truly palpable. I'm a concert, a devotee, and I would rather die than buy an...
Read moreAlthough most of the products are delicious, you might not get a chance to buy them. Some of the products, especially the baguettes, are gone by 11:00am. This isn’t just during the holidays (we came numerous times between 11am and 1pm). Many customers order in advance and there aren’t any left for those who spontaneously come into the bakery. I also agree with another reviewer that the frozen baguettes should be priced lower then the fresh baguettes. These are baguettes that have been baked and then frozen. A defrosted baguette does not taste the same as a fresh one. There is a 2% charge if you use a credit card which is something I have no problem with. The store has a good selection of...
