I've been cooking professionally for seventeen years and have traveled all over eating food - including Paris and San Francisco. This is the real deal, folks. One of the places when you go once, you go again and again. From my travels, you can't get better bread and pastries (dare I say it) in all of Alberta or even Western Canada - even some big shots in San Francisco

The baguette is one of the best damn things I've ever had in years - threw some good 'ol Butter, Ham and Swiss on it and I was literally brought back to Paris.

If you buy "baguettes" at Safeway for $3.00 and have a vehicle - put your head down in shame. Seriously. You can get bread here that is 100000x better for a bit more ($3.75 a baguette here for a night and day difference). Seriously - put that baguette down the next time you're at the grocery store and come here instead.

No, you can't get Uber Eats or Skip through this place. Why would you? Half the experience is walking into the store. This is the standard for all things pastries and bread in Edmonton.

10/10. Perfection. SUPPORT THIS LOCAL BUSINESS!! They deserve it.

(Ok fine, I'll say it: your baguette and croissant was infinitely better than Tartine in...

It is easy to over look the pastries, because there is no better loaf of bread in town; but you'd be missing out on a little piece of heavenly magic hiding in plain sight in the form of a Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Custard Danish.

I could spend the rest of this review naming other bakeries that just can't quite get it right, but it's more efficient to say this is the real deal - there are master artisans at work here - incapable of making mistakes, who would rather die than serve an inferior product. They are not churning out recipes to feed the masses, NO! The passion and drive to know more is always there to be savored in the crust and crumb - it is truly palpable. I'm a concert, a devotee, and I would rather die than buy an...

Although most of the products are delicious, you might not get a chance to buy them. Some of the products, especially the baguettes, are gone by 11:00am. This isn’t just during the holidays (we came numerous times between 11am and 1pm). Many customers order in advance and there aren’t any left for those who spontaneously come into the bakery. I also agree with another reviewer that the frozen baguettes should be priced lower then the fresh baguettes. These are baguettes that have been baked and then frozen. A defrosted baguette does not taste the same as a fresh one. There is a 2% charge if you use a credit card which is something I have no problem with. The store has a good selection of...

Amazing croissants, sourdough bread, and cheese!! I want to try everything, what we have had so far was all amazing. Got some great cheeses recommended to us, and had a proper croissant that was delicious (not just a crescent shaped bun like a lot of places try to pass off as a croissant!). Yes I ate it in the car, couldn't wait to get home! And they have small loaves of sourdough which is perfect, we aren't big bread eaters (despite the love for croissants) so the smaller loaf was great for us. Aaaand now I need to go back asap.

AMAZING! Got there around 9am and they had fresh baked traditional sourdough bread. The guy who sold me the bread said "open up the bag when you get a chance to let the steam out", and OH BOY, the smell! That bread smelled and tasted delicious. Also got the apple and peach danish to surprise my boyfriend with a little breakfast. HE LOVED IT TOO! The peach danish is buttery, airy and has a great bite. IT TASTED LIKE HEAVEN. Just moved to the neighborhood... one taste, and I'm an instant regular. Will definitley be coming back.

Loved the pastries we got from the bakery. Staff were friendly, lots of options for loaves of bread, maybe I'll try them next time. We were in a mood for freshly baked pastries that day. All of them were delicious, although I would pass on the chocolate croissant (they're generally underwhelming) the croissant aspect of it was fine, the chocolate is always the disappointing part. This has nothing to do with the bakery it's more a personal dislike of the chocolate croissant in general.
