I have been to this place a few times. I usually order online, so by the time I arrive, the food is ready. Typically, I don’t pay much attention when paying in-store, as I already know the price from my online order and trust that I’ll be charged correctly.
However, today I placed an order online and went to pick it up. When the lady asked me to pay, I noticed that the amount was higher than what was shown in my order confirmation. I politely pointed this out and mentioned that the total didn’t seem right. She carelessly responded, “This is the correct amount.”
I mentioned again that the confirmation from my online order showed a different (lower) price. She then said, in the same dismissive tone, that the prices on their website are incorrect and that the amount she was charging was the correct one.
At this point, the chef came out and asked what the issue was. I explained the situation, but he was even more rude and loud. They insisted I pay the higher amount. I refused and left without taking my order.
If the prices on their website are incorrect, this is misleading and feels dishonest to customers. Instead of acknowledging the issue and offering an apology for the inconvenience, the staff were rude and dismissive, insisting that I pay the higher price without any explanation or courtesy.
Suggestion: Always double-check the amount you are being charged in-store. Do not assume you will be charged the correct price based on your online order. Be vigilant, especially if the website prices are...
Read moreI recently visited Vegas Donair and Poutine, and I have to say, it was an incredible experience! If you’re a fan of rich, flavorful comfort food, this spot is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise.
First of all, the donair was absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly seasoned and juicy, with just the right amount of char to give it that authentic donair taste. The garlic sauce was creamy, tangy, and complemented the meat beautifully, making each bite a burst of flavor. The pita bread was soft yet sturdy enough to hold all the fillings without getting soggy, which is always a win in my book.
But let’s talk about the poutine—WOW. This is not your average poutine. They nailed the crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside fries, generously smothered in a rich, savory gravy and topped with squeaky, fresh cheese curds. Each forkful was indulgent and satisfying. The portion sizes were very generous, making it a great value for the price.
The staff at Vegas Donair and Poutine were friendly and welcoming. They clearly take pride in what they serve, and it shows in the quality and freshness of the food. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed—perfect for grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a hearty meal with friends.
Overall, Vegas Donair and Poutine offers an unbeatable combination of excellent food, great service, and an inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re craving a classic donair or some top-notch poutine, this place should definitely be at the top of your list. I’ll...
Read moreVegas Donair & Poutine is a fantastic spot, especially if you're looking for a quick and tasty meal close to the university. It's a family-owned business that really shines through with its clean environment, friendly service, and great student discounts. The donair is a standout—fresh, well-packed with meat, and simply delicious. The fries are just as good, crispy and seasoned perfectly. My go-to dish is the Flamingo Donair; I absolutely love the sauce, and it's incredibly filling. When it comes to their poutine, I highly recommend the Flamingo Poutine. It's fantastic, and the full size is huge—enough to leave you stuffed! The half size is just right if you're looking for something a bit lighter but still satisfying. However, I'd suggest skipping the Montreal Poutine. From my experience, there are better items on the menu to enjoy. Supporting a local family business like Vegas Donair & Poutine feels good, especially when the food and service are consistently excellent. Whether you're a student looking for a hearty meal at a good price or just in the area craving some quality donair and poutine, this place...
