Alexandra's Pizza Fairview — Restaurant in Halifax

Waited 45 minutes only to call and be told that my pizza was by the front door. It's below freezing so of course it's cold. Wouldn't refund, only offered to remake it, making me wait even longer, or store credit. I'm quite disappointed. Second delayed delivery in a matter of months!

Edit: As a result of this review. A refund and credit were offered, but they did ask me to remove this review. Edit: Store called again and asked to remove review. Driver did admit he was wrong. Edit: received two more calls, one very sincere, appreciates my business etc., offering a couple of free meals, the other though stating that IF I removed this review, he'd offer me free meals, then backtracking when I tried to call him out, saying I misunderstood what he said. Not worth the hassle. Service rating down to one star Edit: Jan 6, still no refund. Feb 15 2024 took up the offer on a free meal, they tried to charge me for the pop at the door, nothing had been said about that at the time of order so I sent the drink back and he starts to lecture me on how nothing is free etc.. Not worth the hassle you'll get from some staff. Update: the owner had told me he's give me two or three free meals on the phone, I just went to claim a second free pizza, the person working there said he talked to the owner and was told only one free pizza. I ordered a donaire plate with extra cheese and onion rings with a cup of donaire sauce. The Donaire plate was absolutely horrible. It only came with a couple shreds of donair meat, maybe 6 burnt literally blackened pieces within the mounds of cheese. The cheese wasn't even mixed in around the fries or anything. It was literally a whole plate of fries with a couple burnt pieces of doner meat mixed in a whole amount of cheese flopped on top. It was so disgusting I threw it away in disbelief. The onions weren't bad. I just wish they separated them because they came in bunches instead of single onion rings. It was like taking a bite out of an onion ring sandwich without the bread. Lol. The Donaire sauce in the cup was really good though, but I don't think any was put on the donaire before it came. I use skip the dishes all the time or Uber eats, but for some reason I did an online order with them. But Alexandria was never this bad. I'm very disappointed. I used to go to them when they used to be across the street years ago. Edit: I wish I read the reviews before I ordered from here. I think I'm going to go back to skip the dishes and Uber eats...

So, it was Saturday night before Easter. Don't think it had much effect on service though. Ordered at 11:50 pm for pick up. Pick up time was 12:18 am. 28 minutes for a burger and donair egg rolls. Arrived on time. Cook said the system has a delay from sat- sun. 10 minutes difference. Guy had not even started yet after having the order slip for 18 min. I left and returned at 12:39 am. Food was somehow cold? Donair egg rolls are just poorly made. Burger patty was under cooked. Just enough though that it's maybe safe to eat. We will find out tomorrow. Request extra crispy because I know they don't tear corners for steam to vacate. Fries and donair egg rolls still JUST cooked. Also, stop doubling wrapping burgers in foil. It ruins the veggies. I'm so done. Outside still looks disgusting. I can hear the rats fighting in the garbage bin. I should have canceled the order but bro made me feel bad. Like it...
