At 9:05pm I placed an online order for a 4 topping large pizza and was given a 30-40 minute estimated delivery time. Over an hour later there was no delivery so I called the store to inquire about what happened. The clerk responded and said that my order was cancelled (even though your online tracker said it had been made and double checked for quality) and they called "a while" ago to tell me they stopped delivering. I asked if they got a response when they called (clearly not since I was unaware) and her response was that she doesn't know because her coworker was "supposed" to call me. I waited patiently for an hour only to find out that my order was cancelled without even having the decency to let me know about it. The sad thing is .this is not the worst part. My second complaint takes the cake! After I was informed of this I proceeded to place my order again this time for pickup. I sat and monitored my pizza tracker until it was identified as completed and ready for pickup. I walked to the store in the same conditions which they say made them stop delivering and when I got there, there was NO ONE at the front desk or at the assembly/ oven area. Every single employee was at the back doing god knows what. SO I stood there. A few moments later an employee came out and when I asked about my order she said that they didn’t know people were still collecting orders so one of the delivery drivers may have taken it home with them. At this point I was totally perplexed. A few seconds later ALL the employees came around to the front and I was engaged by a young lady. I asked her what happened to my order and she said it “might have gotten bumped off the screen so they didn’t see it”. I told her that your tracker said it had been completed and that it also said my first order was made before I called to be informed it was cancelled. Her response was to repeat the same thing. At this point I was ready to explode. Soon after I was presented with a coupon for an identical order but of course this meant nothing at this point. I wanted to let loose on every single staff member. I stood there for a few more seconds while she said sorry then I left. During this entire exchange there were orders on the shelf waiting to be collected and while I was leaving, the staff member who engaged me first was also leaving. WITH THREE BOXES OF PIZZA. It’s snowy AF, and the roads are greasier than a baking pan for brownies out there. You’re craving pizza. You decide to get a takeout pizza because you figure that’s a great idea for an easy Sunday with your boo… You order in and then get the notification that it’s gonna between 55-65 mins before you can pick it up… you think… okay no problem Jamaican man, I’ll just kill time. So you go to the liquor store and to Sobeys to get further refreshments for your evening and then go park at the Dominoes to wait. You wait and have a video call with your family for 35mins and then go “shoot! Pizza!” So you hang up and go into the store… you see your name saying “10 mins left” so you wait…. 10 mins go by and you’re still waiting…. In the process you see (I counted 15?) workers just absolutely busting ass and working so ridiculously hard and think… what the heck is going on?
Then it hits you… Super Bowl Sunday. Welll shooot. That makes sense why it’s chaotic as hell.
You ask the guy how much longer on the pizza just for curiosity as the little progress bar in your dominoes app now fully malfunctions and basically doesn’t work now. He says it’s another 50 orders deep and it will be another hour but to hold on because they will push it through for you… (we’d been chatting and sympathizing with the staff for some time)
Then the staff there who are very clearly overwhelmed by the barrage of beeps and telephones ringing then inform you that there are over 100 orders on the list to go out. You stand there flabbergasted.
You continue to stand there helpless watching these beautiful humans work work work and slowly watching the orders continue to roll in bit by bit by bit…
Finally, the man calls you for your pizza and you sigh from relief but also disbelief that wow… they were kind enough to push our order through without being asked and did so with a smile and kindness. Man.
ALL of the workers at the Quinpool dominoes tonight deserve some sort of bonus. That was intense to witness and be a part of. I wish each and every one of the employees there a restful night and nothing but kindness and respect.

Read moreHad the most disgusting customer service on my latest order. We are regular customers of this location, usually never have issues, and the driver always shows up to our apartment door without having to call or text or cause issues.
This time the driver (no idea if they’re new or just lacking IQ), decide that instead of delivering to the door he would text my personal number to inform me of his presence, when providing him with the apartment number (that was listed on the order), he tries to lie that the policy is now they don’t offer door delivery to this specific building (a lie as the last time we ordered was 3 days ago and the guy had no issues bringing it to our door).
He gives no reason as to why he can’t bring it to our door he just decides to tell me he is leaving (without delivering the food). After calling the store the lady on the phone apologizes profusely and informs me she will call the driver to get him to come back with the delivery.
I then receive further texts from the driver where he attempts to lie that there’s no buzzer code (buzzer code is the apt number that can be easily found on the buzzer screen).. and that there’s no parking (there are free parking metres to the front, sides and back of the building literally ten steps away, and there is also a drive in directly in front of the entrance door for cars that need to temporarily pull in for whatever reason).
I call the driver out on his attempt to lie and inform him I am submitting a complaint, he texts me with a sarcastic “good luck”.. which gives me the impression he is confident that whatever management is at this store location, will not care or do anything in response to a complaint.
It’s now 2 hours since I ordered, no sign of the food, and I have been on hold trying to speak to somebody at the store for the last 30 mins.
Just thought people should know if they are planning from ordering from here soon. Not sure if it’s new staff or new management but this whole ordeal is shocking and...
