I am writing to formally bring to your attention a very distressing incident that occurred at your location at 1047 Barrington St, Halifax, NS, B3H 2P8 on April 24, 2025.
I had ordered a Veggie Cilantro Lime Loaded Wrap. However, due to a mistake by the server taking my order, I was given a Crispy Chicken Cilantro Lime Wrap instead. I only realized the error after taking two bites. As a strict vegetarian, consuming meat is a deep violation of my beliefs and faith. This experience was extremely traumatic for me. I immediately brought the issue to the attention of the staff. Several other servers confirmed that they had indeed heard me clearly order a veggie wrap, not chicken.
While the manager did process a refund, I was deeply upset by the behavior of the other staff members. Instead of treating the matter seriously, they were seen laughing and engaging in a blame game, showing complete lack of professionalism and empathy for the situation. I even had to forcibly try to vomit to prevent further violation of my religious practices.
Additionally, I have noticed on previous occasions at this location that basic food safety standards are not always followed — such as staff not wearing gloves while preparing food and ignoring customer instructions. This points to systemic negligence and lack of proper training at this branch.
This is not just a simple customer service issue — it is about respect for cultural, religious, and ethical values, along with proper food safety practices.
I request Tim Hortons to: • Take serious disciplinary action against the staff involved. • Provide mandatory sensitivity and food safety training for all employees at this location. • Ensure that customer dietary preferences and restrictions are handled with utmost seriousness in the future.

Read moreAbsolutely the worst experience every single time…IYKYK…it starts at the drive thru window when you have to repeat the order several times before they get it right. Today I ordered online to pick up so I did not have to repeat myself on every item only to be asked “is that everything” after every item and telling them I have a few items at the start…pay attention to the order when taking it please!!!
The breakfast sandwich had no egg on it because they “ran out”. I asked for a different item but why could not figure out how to refund the item and charge me for another one. They said they found an egg and to drive through…only to pass me a greasy bag with mayo on the outside of it and lo and behold, an eggless breakfast sandwich inside when we got home. The wrap had so much sauce on it that it was dripping everywhere, wrap was soaked with sauce and falling apart…it was disgusting. The lattes were not made with Oat Milk which is already resulting in an upset stomach due to a dairy allergy for one person. The potato wedges were hard as a rock and cold. I am done tolerating this shitty experience EVERY SINGLE TIME…the bill was $26.29 and the only thing that was edible was the apple fritter.
Customer Service is awful…the language barriers are frustrating…Quality Control is non existent…Inventory Control requires someone to manage it as they are always out of things like chicken and eggs…seriously??
The presentation of messy, greasy, dripping items makes me not want to know what the actual work space is like from a sanitary perspective??? 🤢
