After a busy conference week, I wanted to laugh and so looked up comedy clubs in the area. Yuk Yuk’s Halifax was the only out of 3 clubs that had a show the night I was there (Oct 10), so bought a ticket. I didn’t know the headliner and had no expectations, but wow! I laughed so hard. It started off wth the MC (i don’t remember anyone’s name), who was so hilarious and did such a great job warming up the crowd and keeping the energy up, there was a drop-in guest that was fun, then a former wrestler turned comedian (Ladies’ Choice - I remembered his name 😂) who was a superstar and finally the headliner who did some awesome crowd work and was trying out some new material. Solid laughs through her set and shoutout to Anne (mother of 6 kids) and the loud single girl in the audience. They added to the laughs and jokes. So happy I got to be a part of that show on my last night in Halifax. P.s. snacked on fried pepperoni I with a honey mustard dip (apparently a thing there)...
