Iâve been to this establishment twice - once for my daughterâs birthday party (over a year ago) and the second time with my three teenage kids (March 2025). I recommend this business to families with tweens/teens and older or adults - I think it would be too challenging for younger kids (and possibly frustrating). It is a fun way to spend an hour!
This was an excellent choice for a Birthday party (age : 12) - the kids worked well together and were able to solve the puzzle while having a blast! The party room was perfect and the staff were great. Good value.
The second time (with my kids) was also a good experience - we were able to solve the puzzle with some help (we utilized the clues). I did find the explanation in the room a bit confusing, and one of the clues they gave us we had already discovered (so it wasnât helpful).
Personally I donât like being asked to tip before a service has been provided. I also wasnât sure why I was being asked to tip in the first place for the experience with my family (it makes sense for the birthday party - but again, being asked to tip in a service that has yet to be provided doesnât make sense. I always end up under tipping in these cases). There was no service provided that required tipping for the regular visit,...
Read moreMy recent visit to Captured Escape Rooms was a thrilling and challenging experience. The concept of escape rooms is fascinating, and this establishment did a great job in delivering an entertaining adventure. The staff was friendly and provided clear instructions, making us feel comfortable and excited to start our escape.
The room we chose was well-designed with intricate puzzles and clues that kept us engaged throughout the game. It was a fun and immersive experience that encouraged teamwork and problem-solving. The sense of accomplishment we felt when we finally escaped was fantastic.
I'm giving Captured Escape Rooms 4 stars because, while the experience was generally great, there were a couple of minor hiccups. The hint system could be improved, as we sometimes felt stuck and needed assistance that wasn't readily available. Also, the room's decor and props could use a little more attention to detail for a fully immersive atmosphere.
Despite these minor concerns, I had a blast at Captured Escape Rooms and would definitely return to try another room. It's a fantastic way to spend time with friends or family, and I highly recommend it to those looking for an exciting and mentally...
Read moreWe did Plunder the Sea and had fun overall but the space could use some refreshing - paint is worn and bits have fallen off some things. The puzzles werenât bad but some didnât work as well as they could. We solved one puzzle very quickly but it wasnât obvious anything had opened. There was a painting on the wall that looked like it should have been a clue and, since the room diagram seemed to show another room beyond where we were, we kept trying other solutions to get a non-existent door to open. Our instructions before going into the room said not to climb on anything but we did have to climb up a ladder to get to the other part of the room. There was also a puzzle that involved magnets but they didnât stick (two of us held them in place so they all stayed in) and we never did see if there was a pattern we were supposed to have found or if we just lucked into it.
We enjoyed it enough that weâd give another room a chance but it would be good if the rooms were rated by experience levels to make it easier to choose. I had e-mailed in advance and one was recommended for beginners but there are no...
