I wish I read the reviews before coming here with my sister tonight. It seems many other customers had similar experiences to mine.
Initially, I was seated pretty quickly. My sister and I started with an order of mozzarella sticks. 6 small sticks with a side dip of marinara sauce costed us 16.75 (before taxes). That's insane. The portion size makes sense as it's meant to be an appetizer, but for the amount of sticks you're getting that's too pricey.
My sister and I noticed our cutlery was not properly cleaned. As someone who has worked dish I know those were not okay to send out.
Also, I paid $21.95 (also before tax) for their Buffalo chicken melt sandwich and changed the side to sweet potato fries. The kitchen staff messed up and accidentally gave me regular fries. My waiter was quick to resolve the issue at no additional cost to me.
I thought maybe, just maybe, the nightmare was over. But unfortunately, the chicken in the sandwich I ordered tasted like it was cooked in vinegar and dyed red. Not only that but it was incredibly small for the price.
I tried a bite of the fettuccine Alfredo my sister ordered and the sauce was disgusting. Her portions were small too. How do you mess up one of the easiest meals to cook?
We both waited at least 25 minutes for our meals after the appetizer.
Trust me and all of the other negative reviewers when I say to please avoid supporting this business at all costs. The server was outstanding, but the quality and quantity of food wasn't worth my order total of 37.59 (with taxes, just for my...
Read moreI came here for convenience, twice, because I was staying across the street. The servers are very kind and lovely people. But that's about where it stops. Came in through the street entrance, and they have ash trays at the door so people smoke there and it reeks. Weed as well, so the smell constantly blows in while you eat. And speaking of eating... I very rarely expect much from a bar of any kind. But the first night I was there my son ordered swordfish, which was listed on the menu as new and we were told they had just run out because they are now taking swordfish off the menu. Not much point in listing something as new if it expires immediately. The garlic bread appetizer was tasty, but to be honest, unless you don't know how to toast bread it's kind of hard to screw that up. I ended up ordering their supposedly famous wings, but frankly, they didn't taste much different than frozen boxes of wings from the grocery store. I ordered what was supposed to be their hottest wings, but it just tasted like a bunch of Frank's hot sauce. I guess people don't really go there to eat because it's just a bar and I don't know if I expected much better, but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to go back because it really wasn't worth anything. Ultimately, I think the constant smell of cigarette smoke is what does it for me. I let it go the first night because I thought it might've just been in that moment, but it was constant both nights and it's...
Read moreThe visit was going great. We noticed on the menu that on Sundays those 55+ get a big 25% discount and we thought this is getting even better!
Got our drinks. We ordered a couple of appetizers (usually probably would get one) to share among the three of us. Life is good.
The entrees arrive and we're munching through and our friend who arrive slightly ahead of us told us of her experience moments earlier. She had asked for a table for three but effectively got refused as we hadn't arrived yet. Grudgingly they thought to offer a table for two and shift once we arrived, that was soundly rejected by our friend.
So we get to the end of the meal and ask for our bills and remind the server that we qualify for the discount so as to not have to send her back to do the corrections. At that point, although we talked about it when ordering in her presence, she tells us that no discounts as there is a performance in the nearby venue. We are disappointed as were the folks at the next table. We aren't blaming the server as much as the menu is totally misleading as no qualification was printed about this. The place wasn't full and there was always an available table.
So we left very disappointed in so many ways. Our friend was let down at the start by failing to seat her as she requested and then not telling us about no seniors discount even though it would only apply...
