We recently dined at L’Altra Milano and were thoroughly impressed with our experience. From the moment we stepped in, the ambience was inviting and cozy, setting the perfect tone for a delightful evening. Despite a previous mishap on New Year’s Eve due to short staffing and a misunderstanding on the part of our server, we decided to give them another chance, and we are glad we did. The service this time was commendable, and our server was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. As for the food, I opted for the Chitarra Spaghetti Seafood, and it was a true culinary delight. The seafood was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection, while the pasta itself was bursting with flavor. We were pleasantly surprised when the manager recognized us, and she and the chef took the time to personally approach our table. They offered a sincere apology for the unfortunate incident we experienced on New Year’s Eve. This gesture of acknowledgment and apology truly demonstrated their commitment to customer satisfaction and making things right. My daughter took me here for a quiet birthday dinner on a recent Sunday evening. It was a lovely experience from start to finish. Service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. We had a Caesar salad to start - fresh romaine and crisp pancetta, croutons, Parmesan and a dressing made with the traditional addition of anchovy. Then 2 entrees - Gnocchi in a tomato sauce with burrata for my daughter and Paccheri pasta with shrimps, shallot, cherry tomato in a pomodoro sauce with pistachio pesto for me. So very enjoyable! Flavours were delightful and well-balanced. This is not ‘fast food’ and is not the ‘heavy’ entrees that people may equate with Italian food. This is a fine dining experience in welcoming and comfortable surroundings. Portion sizes were generous and perfect. There were many desserts that appealed to both of us … we opted for a lemon sorbetto to share as we were quite full following dinner.
