Masala Corner was one of the first restaurants of its kind in the Main West / Westdale / McMaster neighbourhood, and it remains one of the very best.
We have been going there for take out for years. They created the market for Indian food in their immediate neighbourhood that attracted competitors. But they remain the best.
We usually order our take out about half an hour before pickup, and the food is always ready on time, fresh and ready to go.
We always order a double portion of onion bhajis, because they are such a consistently terrific appetizer, hot and crisp.
Chicken Tikka Masala, Masala Fish, and Vegetable Biryani with Raita are all winners.
Whenever we pick up our order our naan bread is finished fresh, right then, just so!
We should try more items from their varied and remarkable menu, but we like our favourites so much that even as take out, dinner from Masala Corner feels like a date night.
They were such champions during the pandemic, and a year or so ago they moved next door to a location that allows dining in.
The decor in the restaurant is simple, but the music is great, the portions are generous, and the prices are excellent.

We ordered last night online through masala corner and not door dash. After waiting the recommended time from our order we went to pick it up to only have to wait another 20 min as the staff ran around panicking because they forgot to prep and cook part of our order.
2 door dash drivers were waiting and complaining about their orders while we waited for our food. It’s definitely not an isolated issue.
We will no longer be ordering from masala corner due to their inability to estimate the time an order...
Read moreThis establishment offers an exceptional array of authentic Nepali/Indian cuisine, representing an unparalleled culinary experience within the city, particularly considering its affordability. Portion sizes are generous, and the food is not excessively oily or greasy, tasting homemade. Although the operating hours may pose some inconvenience, and there might be a slight 20-30 minute wait for food, the consistently fresh and delectable nature of the meal justifies the minor inconveniences. Personally, I find the lunch/dinner specials to be the best of value for price. This restaurant has become my preferred destination for introducing friends to Nepali/South Asian cooking. My boyfriend and I frequently find ourselves craving...
