I've finally found a wonderful little Deli in West Hamilton. After years of searching! I had a smoked Montreal meat sandwich on Rye, which was to die for! Mayer, the owner, is a lovely man. I can rest now that I know he and his store are close by.

The owners are so warm and welcoming, super friendly. Ordered a “medium” pastrami and Montreal smoked meat and the portions are very generous! Served in the classic style with a smear of mustard on rye bread. The store doubles as a small Kosher grocery and has that old school nostalgic feel. Due to COVID it’s take out only so the soup can be bought frozen, but they are made fresh with no preservatives and a bunch of varieties to choose from and all delicious. A must visit...

Absolutely fantastic food and owners. I popped into the shop today with my little son and we both fell in love with Meir & his deli. Our smoked meat and pastrami sandwiches were delicious (the best I've ever had - even better than Katz in NYC). I also bought soup and cannot wait to try it. I really love this place and plan to return again and again...

I've been meaning to stop in this spot... and I was coming up empty everywhere else on my search for Diamond Crystal Salt... it would seem I just picked up the last box of Diamond Crystal anywhere in Hamilton and it was at Westdale Delicatesen. 5* for that alone... plus a very nice lady who I think was the owner. Next time I'll stop in...
