Rip Off Alert !!!
Horrible Horrible Horrible UPS store 20 is charging $2.00 per page to send a fax to a Canadian destination ....yes we have inflation but price gouging is unconscionable. I had 30 plus pages to fax ...seems UPS store 20 is looking to make daily sales goals on one fax customer!!! Really disgraceful behavior.
Two years ago I was paying .25 to .30 per page ....( not at UPS) did costs really go up 7 fold? Nope they did not.
When I said I would post a review about the pricing she ... I am not going send the faxes ..telling me that she did not want me to be unhappy..I said just send it I will pay the price. I was leaving a review regardless. She procceds fax the documents ...but then states the line is busy...not sure that it was ... I left UPS and will mail my docs at a cost of 2.50 for all documents.
The organization that I need to send my documents does not accept emails ... gov agency.
The lady at the store tried to explain it away saying inflation and in her words the price of food was the reason for the fax pricing.
Not sure what food has to do with anything at the UPS store!!
She mentioned rent payments... well you signed a lease years ago...commercial landlords did not just break the lease and raise the rent by 300 percent...
Phone lines did not double or quadruple in price and the fax machine in the store looked to be 5 plus years old so the capital cost has been accounted for. She then mentioned long distance charges ..well those are very inexpensive perhaps maybe 40 cents a minute.
All of this helps to explain why the store was run down and void of customers.
Why is inflation out of control .... Price gouging... greedy greedy price gouging... moral of the story ...stay away from UPS store and courier service ...greed...
Read moreIf zero or minus stars were an option, I'd give it a -10. To the unsuspecting customer, looking to do business here.......run, don't walk. There are literally too many horrifying stories to share with you about my experiences at this "store". Please read all of the other reviews, and make your own decision. Customer Service is non-existent. Never ANY acknowledgement when you walk in the door, even if you're the only person in the store, and they're doing absolutely nothing. Poor, poor customer service, or lack thereof, every single time. I could understand if someone is having a "bad day"; we all do. However, all of the staff, seem to have a really bad day, every single day. And I can guarantee you, they take it out on their customers. This all originates from one place; The Franchise Owner. They obviously do not respect or support their staff, nor the idea of proper Customer Service, and the trickle-down is more of a landslide effect. I'm going to be reporting this franchise to the Better Business Bureau, because I cannot in good conscience, allow other consumers to fall prey to this horrific nightmare of a "business". There are plenty of other UPS Stores all around the city of Hamilton. They may not be as convenient or as close for you, but I can assure you, they cannot be any worse than this one, in every single aspect of good business practice. If you read the Store's responses to any bad reviews, you will notice a pattern of deflection; blaming everything and everyone, except themselves. Consider...
Read moreI have received excellent, first rate service from this particular store for the past 4 years, since leaving Canada Post as a lifelong customer, for sub par service. I am a retired health-sector worker and university graduate. Even though I'm now slowed down with end-of-life problems, I still heavily relie on critical items going to points within the US. every month. Getting to this UPS Store #20 is easy by bus, the shop's hours are great for me, and UPS staff are polite, knowelgeable, friendly, smartly attired and helpful. I've been doing my own parcel wrappings and use the UPS ground service option, mostly. On 3 recent occasions, I've used their overnight Express Service, with as equal success as their Ground Service. I've mailed time-sensitive court documents to Ivy League American Universities, and do so really appreciate UPS Store #20 for their integrity, attention to detail, and thoroughness in ensuring my documents to Law Schools weren't lost in any air-gridlock. I've also mailed fragile, breakable stuff, which has earned UPS's 'distinctive' FRAGILE labels on all 4 sides of my parcels. They've given me sound advice on mailing a special ring to my faraway lady-love [what can be more important than that, huh?]. Absolutely, this UPS Store close to McMaster has more than earned my trust and loyalty. Their sharp customer service skills beat Canada Post's lukewarm attempts hands down. I count on them to get the job done. I'm staying with what...
