Mexican Kitchen — Restaurant in Hamilton

Not only is the food at this location absolutely delicious, not only is the food so fresh and authentic, not only is the staff super kind and very hospitable but the amazing energy you feel as soon as you approach this restaurant is incredible. You feel as though you just turned the corner on a little cobblestone street in Mexico. What a charming atmosphere full of cibrant colours and delicious aromas.

My girlfriend and I tried the home made fruit drinks, the chicken quesadilla, the chorizo and potato tacos and the carnitas quesadillas as well. My personal favourite is the carnitas but I can assure you that whatever you order from here your pallet will be met with fresh authentic Mexican flavours that will leave you coming back again and again. I can’t wait to try my next dish here at the Mexican kitchen!

P.s. the head chef Paola is such a very sweet woman who made our experience here even better than we imagined. A lovey family environment I’m happy to have stumbled upon! We’ll be back for the food and to see Paola...

Atmosphere and service here is great, but the food was below average. I got the chicken burrito and veggie tamale. The chicken was bland and the burrito was quite soggy, and had no authentic taste.

The veggie tamale was almost inedible. The potato was way too dry and felt like I was eating clay, and was also extremely bland. I really expected more spices and flavors from a place claiming to be authentic, especially at the prices they charge.

And their reply speaks volumes. Instead of owning up to the poor meal, they try and blame me. Despicable. I write my views when I receive exceptional good or poor service. Being 'free' or not is irrelevant. Work on your quality instead of blaming me. If I cared about it being free I would have asked...

We working in Hamilton on a T.V. Show and someone recommended Mexican Kitchen for really authentic, dyed in the wool Mexican food. I spend my Winters in Texas and I have had the real deal. The food was muis excellente'!!! Wow!!! The portions were huge and it was prepared quickly. Highly recommended!!! If you're filming in Hamilton and you are getting lunch or Second Meal? This is a great place. They also gave us enough Salsa, Sour Cream and Guacamole for 3 meals. Very accommodating to Film and Television Productions.
