I had to take the time to write this review even though I was just passing by the area for a few days. I’m a die hard foodie, I have eaten foods from all over the world and from almost every ethnicity. I have eaten at some of the best Thai food restaurants in Toronto and abroad. This place deserves recognition. Basil fried rice was spot on, with egg and scallions done the right way. Spicy eggplant and tofu was excellent and the Lemongrass Chicken Tom Yum soup was just as good as the best places in Toronto. The people in Lindsay and surrounding area should feel lucky having a place that delivers authentic style Thai cuisine at this level of authenticity. Places that serve food like this are EXTREMELY rare in rural areas. I have had some of the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my entire life in this same geographical area and I wouldn’t wish that Chinese food on my worst enemy. We've lived in Toronto for over 34 years and moved in Omemee over three years now.

We've been looking around for a good restaurant with an authentic food menus. So went to Lindsay and tried Thai by Joe.

We used to dine in to these authentic restaurants either sushi, tandoori Indian cuisine etc in Peterborough. But we'd liked to try other ethnic restaurants in another place. Thai by Joe food is so tasty and very flavourable. We fall in loved with their very tasty cooking like home.

It feels like their ingredients are fresh and clean and not rushly cooked not oily. We went the second time last month in which I brought my daughter who lives in Toronto and so as our visiting friend who's from Phoenix, Arizona. They really loved the food and even had to order the menu with coconut milk, chicken with crunchy veggies to take out. Yum yum!! We will not get tired of coming here to treat ourselves as a family.

Thai by Joy in Lindsay Ontario. It's a dine in and take out restaurant. For my order I placed an order via their website for Pick up so, I actually attended the restaurant in person as in the past I ordered by phone and had delivery. I am probably not the best person to critique Thai food as it's not my usual food to eat but, I did like the food. I ordered Spicy sauce with chicken and chicken fried rice. It was nice to have the sauce to put on the rice at leisure. The rice quantity was great! I enjoyed my food and would recommend a visit if you are in the area. As a second time purchase I find this restaurant truly provides good food and consistent. There were a few people dining in and seemed content as well so, worth a visit. Parking is good as to me most people are quick stop parking so if you find a spot in front of the restaurant as I did or close by you will get parking.
