Pita Land Shawarma - Kelowna — Restaurant in Kelowna

I’ve seen ads on social media that a Pita Land Shawarma is opening in Victoria so while I was in Kelowna I thought I’d get a preview of what was coming. The location isn’t difficult to find but there’s no street parking and the parking lot isn’t intuitive to get to and once you do the signage indicating which spaces are for the 2 businesses are labeled but hard to read.

Once inside I was greeted by the friendly staff and as I was looking at the menu trying to decide on what to order I was offered a taste of the split lentil soup, which I thought was a nice touch. I ordered the beef kebab wrap and decided to make it a combo with the split lentil soup and a drink and added some dessert to complete the meal.

The beef kebab was cooked to order which takes a few minutes but I was fine with that. The wrap is made in a fresh-baked pita which is a big seller for me! Watching the bread bake and puff up is just so satisfying! After selecting the fillings for my wrap it was then toasted on a press but I wish it was left on the press a bit longer to crisp it up a bit more (personal preference). I’ll be sure to specify that next time. The flavours of the sandwich were very good, from the beef kebab (think kafta) to the fresh toppings like the pickled turnips and tahini sauce, and the extremely delicious split lentil soup, all made for a very enjoyable meal! I’m looking forward to the opening of the Pita Land...

Pita Land Kelowna is hands-down one of the best spots for shawarma in town. The pita is made fresh to order — pressed and baked right in front of you — and it makes a huge difference in taste and texture. Tons of options on the menu, all full of bold, authentic flavour.

They offered me a sample of their lentil soup while I waited — a warm, thoughtful touch. Service is friendly, and everything is made with care. It does take a bit of time to get your food, so maybe not ideal for a tight lunch break, but absolutely worth it when you’ve got time to enjoy.

Between the freshly baked pita, bold flavours, and genuinely kind service, Pita Land Kelowna stands out as a top-tier shawarma spot. It’s the kind of place that respects the food and the customer, and that’s not something you find everywhere. Highly recommended!

It's awesome that they have DAILY deals, all week. I ate here twice within the week. Next time, I’m trying the chicken kebabs — they cook them over an open flame and they looked incredible....

🙌 Huge rave to Pita Land 🥙🔥 in Kelowna (right across from Orchard Park Mall, super close to Costco 🛒).

I’ve been here about 10 times already and it never disappoints! My favorite is the Plate. Fluffy rice 🍚, tastyy garlic potatoes 🥔, fresh veggies 🥗, and the star ⭐️: their shawarma chicken 🍗. It’s grilled to perfection, hehe always hot, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Plus, you get some hummus, garlic sauce 🧄, and there’s other stuff like zatziki?? and more 🤩

Another day I tried their lentil soup 🥣 and wow, so comforting and tasty 🤤 (No photo this time)

The portions are generous, the pricing 💵 can’t be beat, $15.95

The staff is super friendly 😊 they really know how to treat their customers right. Everything has its own little touch, even the rice has amazing flavour!
