Ordered Green/ Hariyali Chicken Tikka and Chicken Soup. They didnt have green tikka so replaced it with Chicken kebab. Chicken Tikka was okayish, I didn't like the sauce that comes along, it lacked the taste but soup was excellent. While ordering I did ask if I'll be given mint chutney with tikka, lady confirmed yes but while picking up the order I didn't see it in my bag hence I asked for it but the guy present wanted me to charge extra for it, which is ridiculous. He somehow gave it but I didn't like the overall experience.
Ordered again, this time Paneer Pakora and they weren't good, attaching pics
Update: Visited again after the management got changed and I am glad I did. Good food and good service. Service is slow though as there is only person taking care of all the tables. Also she didn't provide us the bill, just left the machine on the table to be swiped, so not ok. Ordered Lamb Tikka Masala, Coconut Chicken Curry, Rotis, Veg Manchurian and Spring Rolls. Rotis were fresh but dry though, there was no butter. So when you order, ensure to add butter. Manchurian was very spicy though we asked for mild. Chicken and lamb were good and spring rolls are a must try. Lovely interior (not good for photographs though due to lighting), generous portion and tasty food makes this place a must try. Recommended!
Update: Tried their Gobi parantha and Methi Chicken and oh my my Methi/ Fenugreek Chicken was very delicious 😋 (Pic attached) Highly Recommend!
Update: Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and it was good 👍🏻
Update: Ordered Chicken Curry and Shahi Paneer. Didn't like Chicken Curry but Shahi Paneer was good. Will not recommend chicken Curry though! Also ordered Lachha Parantha and Rotis but Lachha parantha was not good. It neither wasn't crispy nor flaky.
Update: Tried their Lamb Biryani and it was good. Highly recommended!
I guess their prices have increased for some of the items hence deducting a star. (You were not serving organic chicken any which ways plus using the cheapest oil available in the market (canola). I don't think the prices...
Read moreDa tandoor is excellent! A convenient location in down town Kelowna makes it really accessible and it has lots of parking available. The atmosphere is very welcoming and feels authentic. The waitress was friendly, prompt and efficient. She didn't rush our order and when we ordered a cocktail to split, it didn't even phase her. The drinks arrived promptly and were very tasty. We had the 'mango squeeze' from the house special menu, and it honestly could have had a bit more alcohol in it. Tasted mostly like fruit juice, but overall still tasty. For mains, we had the 'lamb korma', 'chicken goa curry' both served with rice, and got an order of garlic naan and butter naan on the side. Both dishes were very good. Really nice flavours in both dishes; the chicken was perfectly cooked with subtle hints of coconut and cumin and the dish was a little on the sweeter side, the lamb was tender and not at all overcooked, with just a hint of pink in the middle. Naan bread was delightful. They have a convenient 6 point spice scale which makes ordering your perfectly customized dish easy and enjoyable. We both ordered a 4(medium-spicy) on the spice scale and were hardly able to taste the spice. It was very flavourful but not spicy. I would recommend ordering spicier than you normally like it, as this scale seems very westernized. At the till they don't have mints, but they have this super cool Indian spice mint-like mixture of seeds and herbs that you you can spoon into your hand and eat. You can suck on and chew the mixture, which tastes sweet, minty and has hints of licorice. It leaves your breath minty fresh. Overall Da Tandoor was a great experience! I would deffinitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal at an...
