This is probably the best statue of any local cryptid. You have to pay your respects to Ogopogo while you're in Kelowna. Then enjoy the lovely little park and vibrant downtown. But mostly take pictures with your sea monster friend. It's non-negotiable. If you're in town stop what you're doing and how take a dumb picture with this goofy statue! To me, this is the iconic symbol of Kelowna. Our first family trip was to Kelowna, and I remember taking a photo with my cousin on this statue. That was 1992. It's amazing that the statue is still around, making happy memories for all those we stopped by.

To me, this is the iconic symbol of Kelowna. Our first family trip was to Kelowna, and I remember taking a photo with my cousin on this statue. That was 1992. It's amazing that the statue is still around, making happy memories for all those we stopped by. I had my kids take pictures on it like I did. Aside from the Ogopogo statue, downtown Kelowna is a very cute and an up and coming town with beautiful mountains as a backdrop. Though the waterfront is small, it is clean and offers a beautiful view of the sun setting. Many restaurants are just a few blocks away.

Fun to walk by. I understand why the old statue had to be taken down as it was a safety hazard. The new statue isn’t quite as cool but it’s still fun to visit especially since it’s free and part of City Park.
