Great Idea for a take out restaurant with Horrendous execution. From burnt meat in the masala gravy to containers that make the food all spill together and mix up when walking/driving, way too loud of music to the point the people serving you can't hear you (don't tell them they are scooping the wrong thing or they will argue with you that you're wrong), customer service filled with arguing with you if you call something the wrong thing, and "raita" that is only plain yogurt water and black pepper (don't call this dahi or you'll get lectured), Absolutely clueless customer service on spice levels of the food. The spice levels are not marked and all of the people serving you have inconsistent knowledge of what each item has for spice to the point they broke out into their own heated discussion about it infront of customers. Their Kids Tiffin is for 8 and under so beware of this as the normal for Kelowna is 10 or 12 and under. Be prepared to be told you're ordering too much bread because apparently 5 pieces of Naan for a family of 5 is too much and warrants a lecture at the cash register for "ordering too much". Even simple things like keeping our tiffin containers on our trays instead of placing them straight down on the bars and leaving the trays on the bars further back to block the coworker and customers next in line (also food safe practice violation). Also don't expect an apology for their behaviour either. Absolutely appalled by what we experienced tonight after spending roughly $125. I do not recommend this restaurant until they fix their MAJOR flaws in their...
Read moreA Hidden Gem in Kelowna – Authentic Indian Flavors and Unmatched Hospitality!
Tiffin India’s Fresh Kitchen in Kelowna is hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in the city. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel like family. The owner and her mom were such gracious hosts—going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.
The food? It's absolutely incredible. We loved the wide variety on the menu, with each dish tasting fresh, vibrant, and authentic. The mango lassi deserves a special mention—truly one of the best we've ever had. And the whole kulcha? A must-try. Soft, flavorful, and served with so much care. Every bite was a celebration of Indian cuisine done right.
The restaurant itself is beautifully done—clean, stylish, and full of bespoke Indian touches that add to the overall experience. Plus, the location couldn’t be better—easy to find and in a great part of town.
It’s clear this is a family-owned and operated establishment, and that pride shows in every detail. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and are excited to check out their other locations in Edmonton, too!
Highly recommend this spot if you're in Kelowna and craving quality Indian...
Read moreI had one of the worst dining experiences here, and I honestly felt misled by the positive reviews. To begin with, the tiffin meal was extremely average—neither good nor completely bad, but definitely below expectations. If you’re looking for something below average, this might be the place.
Next, we ordered the pav bhaji, which tasted exactly like the eggplant curry they serve in their tiffin meals—same look, same flavor. Pav bhaji should have a distinct taste, and this was far from it. It felt like they just repurposed leftovers, which was very disappointing.
Lastly, we tried the mixed berry lassi. Before ordering, we specifically asked if it was thick or thin like buttermilk. The lady at the counter—who I believe is the owner—insisted it’s thick. But when we got it, it was runny, just like milk consistency. When we questioned her, she laughed and said, “All our lassis are thick, but mixed berry is like milk. Try mango; that’s thick.” It was not just misleading, but also extremely unprofessional.
To top it off, her attitude was focused more on aggressively upselling rather than providing decent service. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I wouldn’t...
