East Side Shawarma & Kebabs — Restaurant in Kitchener

Somebody had picked this shawarma up for me, meaning I can’t rate the service or atmosphere. This place deserves a Michelin star. I got a chicken shawarma rice plate, and by the first bite I had known my life would be changed. The tenderness of the chicken mixed with the creaminess of the sauce had me reconsidering my life choices, wondering how I have not tasted this quality of shawarma ever before. The portion size of this location is considerably larger than any other place I have tried in Kitchener. Since it was large enough, eating merely half of it satisfied me, so I saved the rest for leftovers. Later in the day, my sister had walked in on me eating the leftovers and asked “why do you have tears in your eyes?” I simply looked at her and said “this is the best shawarma I’ve ever eaten.” It was 14$ for the plate and am willing to pay it over again until I am bankrupt. AWFUL ... Okay I have been here a couple of years ago and it was great but the second you walk in you are gonna want to turn around for one , It smells DISGUSTING like a body odour sooo gross definitely not appetizing second, service is aweful and gross they have rude un-welcoming signs everywere “washrooms for costumers only” “if you want extra toppings pay 1.50” and they have a stink face on the whole time third UN SANITARYYYYYY they have dirty hands no gloves and put sandwich together with bare hands we asked for fries in our wrap so she just grabbed fries from another order container sitting beside the frier and put them in our wrap with her bare hands gross! And forth of all Wayyyyyyy to over priced we payed 22.50$ for a sandwich and poutine i know places that are super clean and amazing and friendly that charge 12.75 for this exact order....

I was in the mood to try a different place for shawarma, and this was the one that kept popping up in everyone’s recommendations – and I’m so glad I listened!

The trip was totally worth it. I ordered a chicken shawarma with extra mayo, and the person behind the counter was happy to customize it just the way I wanted. Super friendly and quick service!

The chicken was fresh and juicy, the wrap was packed with flavour, and the mayo took it to another level. You could really taste the quality in every bite.

The shop is clean, the pricing is fair, and the overall vibe is welcoming. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place definitely delivers on taste and service.
