My visit to Grama’s Kitchen was a delightful journey of flavors, notably marked by the extraordinary Benny, which truly stood out as the star of the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant invites a warm and welcoming feel, making it a lovely place for celebrations. During my visit for my friend’s birthday, we found the menu to be a bit on the pricier side, with our meal totaling $50 for two, including tip and tax, which seemed slightly steep for the experience offered.
While the restaurant was bustling with activity, we experienced a notable delay in service after being seated, waiting around 15 minutes before needing to flag down a server to take our order. It also appeared there was a preference in service towards known patrons, which added to our wait time. Additionally, we had to request water, a basic necessity that could have been more promptly offered.
Despite these service hitches, the overall experience was positive. I believe with a bit more attention to equitable service and perhaps a slight adjustment in pricing or value offered, Grama’s Kitchen could elevate its dining experience even further. I look forward to returning and seeing how this wonderful establishment continues to evolve and...
Read moreHunting for a place for a basic bacon and egg breakfast - still serving breakfast when it's gone noon. Googled this Grama's Kitchen, and thought we'd try it (my son and I). Booths around the perimeter, tables in the centre. Waitress - a dead ringing for Amy Schumer. She was great. Not too friendly, you know the type, never showed up to ask how our food was, when we both had a mouth full of it.
What I loved. The coffee was strong...a good thing - and speaking of coffee - they put a small carafe of coffee on the table!!! It was so civilized. The food was great. All of it. They had rye toast - a huge thing for me, the home fries were crunchy on the outside, and tender and tasty on the inside. A regular 2-egg breakfast came with the usual, plus a choice of beans or oatmeal.
Lots of big windows with sun streaming in through the slats in the shades.
The music wasn't bad. I was singing Killing Me Softly in the washroom. They only played Abba once...which was tolerable.
I'd go back. Not fancy food, but the perfect place when you just want a big breakfast on a Saturday or...
Read moreI can say they never disappoint at Grama’s Kitchen. My wife and I love going for breakfast to Grama’s kitchen. When I go for Breakfast I usually order the triple play with all bacon and scrambled eggs and white toasted , my wife is more flexible and will order more things on the menu from French toast ( all she states they have the best in Waterloo region) or omelets or they have a breakfast where you get eggs, bacon, French toast all together…( I just forget what they call it….lol). Their lunch and dinner menu are also awesome. But unfortunately they have switch to there winter hours as of Sept 9.2024 and there new hours will be daily from 8 am to 3pm and no dinner time hours. So you can go for breakfast or lunch. But the staff and food are always amazing! We have been going to Grama’s kitchen for years as they were previously known as Angel’s and we hope to be going for...
