City Centre Grille — Restaurant in Langford

Great spot, friendly staff, don't order food. The outdoor patio is great, splash park for the kids, fun little cabana's. Service is friendly but a bit slow. The food is bad. The only burger on the outdoor menu, the smash burger was VERY overdone, and the only toppings on a very dry burger were burnt onions and mostly melted away cheese. There was no tomato, letuce or sauce of any kind, it was suuuuuper dry and flavourless. It is also $12 and comes with (rather bizarrely) potato salad that the server immediately recommended I change for fries (no mention of the $3 upcharge for these - $3 FOR FRIES with a burger). The fries, as far as I can tell are just the breaded ones that Costco sells, also not very good. My wife got a caprese salad ($16) that was a beefsteak tomato sliced with sliced mozarella and a drizzle of balsamic. It was small, had no basil (required for the salad to be called a caprese salad) and underwhelming. The kids meals, chicken strips and mac and cheese, were good and $9.99. The strips were flavourfull although the fries were still a let down. The mac and cheese was good as well. The drinks were cold though and lots of fun slushies for the kids. If this place put some work into its food menu and started putting out options to support the more premium prices they are charging, it could be epic. We spent over $100 for food (mostly left uneaten) and drinks. Our server was lovely and comped my beer after I let her know the burger...

Stopped in at the sports bar recently and was pleasantly surprised at this hidden gem in Langford! Ramsay ( the manager) came over to check on us, when we asked what all was in this venue, he graciously gave us a wonderful tour of the facility that includes: indoor bowling, arcade games, a sports bar with loads of tv’s to watch your favourite sports, live music on the outdoor patio on Thursday nights, a sports venue that offers summer camps on top of sporting events AND concerts….. This is a TOP CLASS recreational facility with so much to offer that everyone who stays on the island or visits ( like us from Edmonton) must stop by and check it out, you will definitely not be disappointed. The place is very clean, the staff are super friendly and very good at their jobs, thanks Josh!! the food is excellent, and they even offer many specials to choose from daily! Thank you again Ramsay for taking the time to show off this place to us, we had no idea this place even existed but will be sure to stop in on our next visit to Victoria and hopefully get to hear some live music on that beautiful patio!

I have never complained about service before.I really am not hard to please. Last night we wanted a few drinks before we went bowling so we sat down here. There was only 1 other table at the time we waited and no one came to get our order. About 15 mins had passed and still no one had come and there is still only 1 other table. There was 2 girls sweeping the floor one on the broom and the other on the dust pan. My friend went to get someone to come serve us we finally got our drink ordered. Another table had just sat down. About another 15 mins had past and still no drinks I looked over and the new table that just sat down had drinks already. Waited another 5-10 mins and still no drinks so I went to ask if they had them and they had been forgotten on the counter. They were brought over and even forgot some of them. Not happy with this bad service especially when there is only 2 other tables one of them coming...
