WARNING outsourced, pre burnt frozen fish, shrimp and crab cakes! Stick to chicken if the best you can do is sell precooked frozen fish options!

you guys served me 47$ worth of horrible food a few weeks ago that had to be thrown out! had you told me that you would only replace it, I would have taken it out of the garbage and brought it back for a refund and then never returned! But I decided to give you another chance and now you are arguing with me about receiving 30$ worth of food in its place?!?!? How does this make any sense? Your crab cakes taste like flour and old fish, why would I want to eat that again? Your "jumbo shrimp " were mushy and probably expired and also burnt, why would I want to eat that again? Your fish was sloppy and soggy, so again I ask why would I ever want to eat those things again??? At any other restaurant as a customer if I am not satisfied with my meal staff then ask is there anything else I can give you? There is absolutely no logical way to explain why you guys would not accept giving me less then what is owed to me! I will be in tomorrow and the next day and the next until this is resolved!

CONTINUED And maybe I would take you up on that offer except you yourself told me it's all frozen fish from some other company that you clearly can't depend on so AGAIN, why would I want to eat your...

Probably the thinnest most disappointing chicken sandwich I’ve ever had and I’ve been to dozens of places across the lower mainland. Decided to try this place for the first time. The menu online looks great but the experience was not what I expected.

Let me just say that the service was great but that was the only thing that gives this review a 2nd star.

The Cajun chicken sandwich was a sloppy mess and the chicken breast was paper thin. It looks thick in the photo because they positioned the breast halfway outside the bun to expose the part of it that was curled up but it was maybe half an inch thick at most. The rest it was almost non existent.

The chicken tenders were literally nothing more than dry, rubbery frozen tenders. There are far better places to get high quality freshly prepared crispy chicken.

Oh, and after eating a sandwich and 2 tenders it left a gassy, heavy feeling in my stomach so now I’m laying on my bed on a Sunday afternoon with a bottle of peptol bismol next to me.

Will not be returning. I know food costs are up but I have no desire to waste my money on establishments that raise prices while opting for cheaper ingredients. Do one or the other…. do both and customers will not keep giving you...

Ok a throw back to the late 70’s early 80’s when we first immigrated to Canada and moved to Vancouver! Brownies had the worst fried chicken! Tasted bland, and extremely dry and over cooked!

Today, my daughter and I were bored and I was wondering if Brownies still existed? Boy was I surprised when we googled Brownies! 2 locations - Maple Ridge and Mission!

So we made the trip from Richmond to Maple Ridge for some! Was actually really good! Chicken was tasty! Fries better than KFC and LA Chicken! Shrimp was very good especially after dipping it into the tartar sauce!

As far as ranking Brownies! Churches Chicken comes out on top, LA Chicken and Brownies are on par, and KFC dead last for fast food fried chicken.

I’m impressed with the food and more importantly that there’s still one family in the lower mainland that has kept this establishment alive since the 80’s! Oh ya, their chicken is sourced locally which is a real bonus!

Prices are definitely comparable to their competitors!

So, if you’ have the COVID-19 blues, and want something different make the drive to Brownies!

We enjoyed it and this time around, I didn’t leave with bad memories of the...

I came from Richmond. An hour drive to here. I will rate this place base by distance. Is it worth coming to try if you aren't local? Definitely is I got the value pack chicken and fries with coleslaw salad, also Halibut with chips In my opinion, the chickens are worth a try. I like them very much. Base on the sign, the chickens are locally source. The flavour is very home style. I got a mix of Original and Cajun. The original flavour has a salt and pepper taste. Not something from Churches. While the texture is firm, not overly cooked. Reminds me of free range chicken. The chicken pieces are smaller than Churches. I'm not a big fan of any French fries nor I eat alot of fish and chips. So I can comment to much on this restaurant. Won't be too fair. But, I would probably skip the fries next time. But the Halibut is not bad. Firm texture, not over cooked. Summary: Worth a try, but probably won't specially come here again for chicken from out of town unless I'm in town for a visit.

Ordered among other things two spicy sandwiches, and a large poutine and a small gravy. Recived one spicy sandwich, one regular, and instead of a small gravy received a medium or small poutine. The fries (ordered spicy, confirmed spicy!) Were plain. The fish was wet with oil, and the tartar sauce cut through the batter (pic). When I arrived, I went inside, and was asked to confirm the order (had to call home to review the order with the family) then I had to go back outside where I waited for almost a half an hour. At that point you'd expect the food was hot and fresh. Unfortunately it wasn't. I really do like the food here when it is, but consistently I hear these sorts of comments from friends. I'm not sure the reasons for the troubles. I hope they fix it. I don't tend to like to leave bad reviews, but this needs to get better guys. People can have off days but the consistent lack of accuracy and the problem getting an accurate pickup time just compound the problems.
