WARNING outsourced, pre burnt frozen fish, shrimp and crab cakes! Stick to chicken if the best you can do is sell precooked frozen fish options!
you guys served me 47$ worth of horrible food a few weeks ago that had to be thrown out! had you told me that you would only replace it, I would have taken it out of the garbage and brought it back for a refund and then never returned! But I decided to give you another chance and now you are arguing with me about receiving 30$ worth of food in its place?!?!? How does this make any sense? Your crab cakes taste like flour and old fish, why would I want to eat that again? Your "jumbo shrimp " were mushy and probably expired and also burnt, why would I want to eat that again? Your fish was sloppy and soggy, so again I ask why would I ever want to eat those things again??? At any other restaurant as a customer if I am not satisfied with my meal staff then ask is there anything else I can give you? There is absolutely no logical way to explain why you guys would not accept giving me less then what is owed to me! I will be in tomorrow and the next day and the next until this is resolved!
CONTINUED And maybe I would take you up on that offer except you yourself told me it's all frozen fish from some other company that you clearly can't depend on so AGAIN, why would I want to eat your...
Read moreProbably the thinnest most disappointing chicken sandwich I’ve ever had and I’ve been to dozens of places across the lower mainland. Decided to try this place for the first time. The menu online looks great but the experience was not what I expected.
Let me just say that the service was great but that was the only thing that gives this review a 2nd star.
The Cajun chicken sandwich was a sloppy mess and the chicken breast was paper thin. It looks thick in the photo because they positioned the breast halfway outside the bun to expose the part of it that was curled up but it was maybe half an inch thick at most. The rest it was almost non existent.
The chicken tenders were literally nothing more than dry, rubbery frozen tenders. There are far better places to get high quality freshly prepared crispy chicken.
Oh, and after eating a sandwich and 2 tenders it left a gassy, heavy feeling in my stomach so now I’m laying on my bed on a Sunday afternoon with a bottle of peptol bismol next to me.
Will not be returning. I know food costs are up but I have no desire to waste my money on establishments that raise prices while opting for cheaper ingredients. Do one or the other…. do both and customers will not keep giving you...
Read moreOk a throw back to the late 70’s early 80’s when we first immigrated to Canada and moved to Vancouver! Brownies had the worst fried chicken! Tasted bland, and extremely dry and over cooked!
Today, my daughter and I were bored and I was wondering if Brownies still existed? Boy was I surprised when we googled Brownies! 2 locations - Maple Ridge and Mission!
So we made the trip from Richmond to Maple Ridge for some! Was actually really good! Chicken was tasty! Fries better than KFC and LA Chicken! Shrimp was very good especially after dipping it into the tartar sauce!
As far as ranking Brownies! Churches Chicken comes out on top, LA Chicken and Brownies are on par, and KFC dead last for fast food fried chicken.
I’m impressed with the food and more importantly that there’s still one family in the lower mainland that has kept this establishment alive since the 80’s! Oh ya, their chicken is sourced locally which is a real bonus!
Prices are definitely comparable to their competitors!
So, if you’ have the COVID-19 blues, and want something different make the drive to Brownies!
We enjoyed it and this time around, I didn’t leave with bad memories of the...
