I ordered from them, one our phone numbers was in the system as we have ordered from them before. I placed a simple order, two dishes, honey garlic pork and lemon chicken. The latter is one I prefer but rarely get in fave of something we agree more on, but this time it was my choice. 50 minutes after I ordered, I called back to see what the ETA was and was told it was out for delivery. Approx 25/30 later I got a text (family member) asking if I ordered chinese. Then got told I didn’t give a unit number. They have our address, they have delivered to us before, not sure how it isn’t in the system. I call them and provide the init number, but also asked how they didn’t have it when they have delivered here before only to be told it wasn’t written down. Food was finally delivered one hour and 45 min after ordering. This was THE worst lemon chicken I have ever had. The so-called lemon sauce smelled more like vinegar and was just as watery. The container had a bunch (rice cracker?) things in it, to take up space. Don’t think I’ll be ordering here again, even if the honey garlic pork was ok. Considering the cost of chinese food, its far too expensive to get crap.

From December 2018... Spent the day baking so too tired to make dinner. Not many will deliver where i live so thought we'd try the one Chinese place that does...China Kitchen. Got here fast and hot. (Under 40 minutes). Food was fresh and not greasy. Just under $43 with delivery charge, not including tip. It was ok for western style Chinese. My personal issue with this place is lack of substantial vegetables (only seem to have carrots, onions and celery in everything). Otherwise pretty good. We had "Spicy" (not spicy) ginger chicken, bean curd with mushroom and mushroom fried rice. FREE calendar, fortune cookies and sauces included. Not bad at all. Some bok choy, broccoli, gai lan (without meats) would bring that up a solid notch quickly for me. Surprised how good after all the negative stuff I've heard and read over the past two years. Service was friendly and effective. And YAY...no styrofoam!!! :)

I have tried both lunch and dinner Everything is pretty much the same. Differences listed here from what I remember: Lunch - only wonton soup, black bean green beans with beef, fried wonton skin, sesame battered chicken drums. Dinner - wonton and hot and sour soupn blean bean mussels, onion rings, battered shrimp We came on a busy day for lunch and everything was fresh except for some reason the wonton soup was so bland. When we went for dinner on a sunday night and there were only 3 other tables and the food was stagnant for a while that it developed a film on top. The wonton soup this time was good. It would be great to know before hand whether it's busy or not haha. Typical mediocre buffet food. Lunch price is pricier is $19.95 which is ok. Food is better than uncle willys.

Closes at 930.. so we went there 7:15.. barely any options on buffet even though its still close to dinner time and charge $25++ person advertised weekends more more$$..Not sure why if it's not better food options All of the trays had scraps in them. And nothing fresh at all. Rice was dried out and oily looked like it had sat for days or refried since lunch time buffet. Noodles all taste the same. All the meats including beef and broccoli beef and bean chicken, chicken curry, schezuan chicken all had small chewed up piece of meet barely resembling what type of meat it is and the trays were a dark black sludge like they had been burnt and sitting in the pans forever or vegetables shrunk and shriveled like they had been reheated too many time in burnt sauces and oil. We used to go here 5-10 years ago weekly with the whole family and really enjoyed it. We stopped going because the food was lower quality and cold when we order and there are so many more restaurants to choose from. We see why. We watched a take out bag at the from door for 45 minutes in a brown paper bag under a space heater o To keep warm..likely got an order and quickly packaged it with the old sitting out buffet food. And sat it there until skip comes. The whole time the customer thinks his food being made fresh... Was surprised and that should have gave a signal to leave.. but for some reason today we wanted to give it another chance to see if we would like it. Almost wanted to just pay and not eat and tell them in person that it's below average dining to say the least comparison to anywhere else in town. But I didn't want to offend anybody or embarass my family I was out eating with. I would not recommend this place with all the other choices in town. I know times are tough for a lot of places. But food still needs to be served fresh or...

I looked up pricing for the buffet prior to going. Buffet was great, but was charged way more, than it was advertised for. Very disappointed! My complaint was not taken seriously, even showing them the advertised pricing on my phone. The owner came to join the conversation and said, it was my fault, not looking at the in store price list, beforevi ordered...

Today I ordered take out for the first time from there. I wanted a dinner for two, to go. He suggested chow main, sweet and sour and beef with veggies. I asked to have a second choice for the beef. In the end it was substituted for lemon chicken. I added a wonton soup as well. Delivery apparently no charge to my address. When it came, I was faces with an over $70 charge. A buffet dinner for 2 would have been substantially cheaper than that!!! And way more variety! As yo my ordered food: NEVER AGAIN. The chicken chow main was pretty tasteless. The lemon chicken the worst i have ever had in my life. The souce it came with: water with yellow food coloring and a bit of lemon flavor. In the bottom of the box: a bunch of crackers to fill the space. Sweet and sour: awesome. All together a very unpleasant experience to say the least. Including the delivery guys tip... a...

I have been going to China Kitchen since I moved to Maple Ridge. It was recommended by a colleague and tried it myself. It did not disappoint me, I super love their food. No questions to that. I even recommended it to my friends. But until yesterday there was an incident happened that after paying our bill, one of their lady staff (due to that circumstance I did not get the chance to get her name) questioned me after I made a payment why I didn’t give her a tip, is it because of I don’t like her service? I froze for a while and processed what she said as I didn’t expected her to be that rude. It’s unethical for a staff( if she’s really a “staff” coz her uniform is different from others) to ask for that, customers give tips out of good will. Even asked her so do you expect every single customers to give you tips everytime they come here? And she said yes that’s why she’s giving her “good service”. My question is what if there are people who just want to give their self a good treat, will buy a food from this resto, low income earner but still can pay their bill. Will you not give them that “good service” even if they could not give a some tip? Just my two cents, service if out of...
