I've been coming here for YEARS.

2025 July 3rd. It's been better for the last while. My adult kids like it so we go there from time to time. You make your own bowl, they cook and bring to the table. The down side of this model though is none comes back to see if you want more tea so it's sort of like a cafeteria. I like the food myself as I'm able to do something low carb using cabbage and bean sprouts instead of rice, but it would be nice if the staff checked on things periodically.

2021 June 10th 147pm. Sorry to see its got another black mark. Didn't eat here today. Because I'm tired of seeing people in kitchens using masks as "neck support". The gentleman preparing the food had his nose hanging out over his mask. This doesn't keep me safe if he sneezes / breathes on my food. If the restaurant acknowledges the issue/ takes steps to correct I might go back. Otherwise I will stir-fry at home. Sad. I wanted lunch. FWIW I tried to draw their attention to the issue. The lady at the cash didn't seem to understand me. I said "his mask is supposed to be up", but I think she responded "yes, wear a mask".

In 2020 I posted this: Staff has changed. Some of the changes not good. I think many newer staff don't understand customer service. I have seen people massively overload their bowls. I did not. They suggest using 5 or 6 scoops of sauce, but at 30 to 40 grams a scoop, that's about a third of the weight limit. The "dinner" bowls are the same size as lunch, just more expensive. And the owner doesn't seem to read or reply to reviews. It's sad to see a good thing go down hill so fast. I miss the "all you can eat"... I used to make different dishes. It is still one of the best healthy meals I can find and at a fair price (unless you go over). You pick your own ingredients. Add sauce, they cook. So you can have meat or not. Noodles or not. Yummy. I used to be a regular but am becoming less of one. My portion is not large and yet I'm frequently over. Picture below. Does that look like 17$ worth of food? I might prefer a sashimi box lunch for the money. I hope they turn it...

It was my first time coming here and Mongolian grill restaurants are my favourite type of restaurants, so I was coming in with a bit of high standards. The service was great for Tuesday night, a few people working and they were very helpful in explaining the process.. In this restaurant, they have different bowl sizes with set prices to them, as oppose to some places that strictly go by weight. Their sauce selection was decent, but they didn't have honey garlic which is my favourite option. I'm just happy they didn't have pre-made sauces like the Mongolian grill in Whistler! They also didn't have salmon, so I ended up having a big bowl of vegetables and noodles. I was recently informed they have white fist as an option though. I enjoyed the food very much, their veggie selection was a wider spread than I'm used to seeing which was great for me. Another thing that was different and I wasn't expecting, was their rice portion was small, like a spoonful. I enjoy rice over noodles I didn't want the noodles but when they mentioned that the rice doesn't come in a large bowl and just on the side, I added noodles. I enjoyed the change, it was a good experience and...

This place felt like a food maze with too many rules to navigate. Time determines food prices – after 3 PM, bowls cost a buck more. Sharing? Nope. And if your bowl hits 700 grams, cue extra charges! It's like a hunger puzzle!

Both veg and non-veg bowls cost the same until 700 grams. In what world is that fair? Also, how do you know the weight without a scale? I played it safe, staying probably under 400 grams. Other spots weigh your meal, fair and square. Here? It’s a guessing game: lose out on food or pay extra, no middle ground.

The food setup's odd too. Sauce at the start? We pour sauce on food, not dunk food in! At 19 CAD (with tax) for a bowl, the price felt steep for what we got. Plus, two bland spring rolls tagged along, probably apologizing for existing. Soggy and off, a first in my Asian eats.

Kudos to the front desk girl, trying despite the chaos. But with food and setup off-kilter, staff magic can only do so much. Have other customers of this place been to legit Mongolian spots? Because once they do, they won't...
