Sushiro — Restaurant in Maple Ridge

They’re hours of operation are based on when they “run out of rice”… so they could close at 5 PM or 9 PM or anywhere in between. This is not an effective way to maintain customers as it’s impossible to know when they are open or closed.

Also, don’t eat here if you are gluten free!!! I have celiac disease, and the chef refused accommodate simple needs. He deemed us “too picky” by requesting to have a clean cutting board and utensils used to avoid cross contamination… as a result, the restaurant refused to serve me. As if I can help that I have an autoimmune disorder and thus, am making minimal requests to avoid getting sick? I wasn’t asking to order gluten containing items as gluten free. I was simply asking for clean cooking utensils. This makes me question the cleanliness of the entire restaurant, especially seeing that other reviews state they have gotten hair in their food more than once…

I came in to order take out.. place is nice.. pretty cozy.. average jap resto.. menu has a variety..

I ordered : Dynamite Roll, Spider Roll, Spicy Tuna Cone, Gomae, Vege Sunomono

I specifically asked for "No Mayo" as i can't tolerate the taste.. so the spider roll was played with the brown sauce.. however to my surprise Spider Roll is an over dressed California Roll. Not much crab in there folks.. This place is great if you love California Rolls as most of their menu is based off it..it is nothing as they describe it on the menu, no tempura, no cucumber, the 🦀 is the cali mixture.

TRIED to order a lunch box but apparently you can't order one unless it's 15 min to four when the special ends!! Um ok!!! Says on the menu ends at 4!! Got the sunimono SALAD (noodles were hard) , waited for 10 min for chop sticks, Terrible food. Drowned my spicy tuna salad in dressing so bad that I couldn't eat it! It was actually painful how hot it was. Couldn't find the waitress again for 20 min, so picked at the tuna (I was starving) I told her when she finally came back that I couldn't eat it. She actually had the NERVE to say I ate some and for next time tell her right away.. Ok lady. She was GONE! not to mention only like 5 pieces of tuna and still some left over. I never complain unless its needed. Save your money! Go elsewhere! Terrible service! There's so many sushi joints in maple ridge they...
