Coffee Culture Cafe & Eatery — Restaurant in Milton

I am literally sitting at this location as I write this. The older guy who took my order was unfriendly from the jump, I ordered a hot hibiscus tea & the a large cappuccino and a carrot caramel cheesecake for dining in . He made everything in a rush and gave me my drinks in to go cups ( which I didn’t mind) , he also gave me the cheesecake ( the thinnest piece he could pick) on a plate and expected me to carry all three orders to a table, which I managed by retuning for the plate at the counter. The worst part is as I was drinking my hibiscus tea and took the lid off to cool down as I took sips, I spot a piece of hair in the side of the cup, it was clear it was an arm or hand hair. The same man was around cleaning tables , I called him to show him the hair in the cup and handed him the rest of the tea. All he said was “ oh , sorry about that “ and took the cup and left. Now as I write this I should’ve probably taken a photo first for the sake of this review before calling him. I still have my cheesecake & cappuccino left , I can’t drink or eat as I am already disgusted. I asked him for my receipt and now am waiting on it to leave. What a waste of $18 plus this morning. This ruined my entire experience here this morning and the man didn’t care to even offer a refund or something to compensate for even just the hairy cup of tea he served me. I asked to return return the cheesecake & cappuccino as they were was untouched , he continue to dismiss me and gave me back the cheesecake in a to go container. I come here all the time. Atmosphere is comfortable if you want to sit and talk, study (although can be loud so if you are looking for quiet, this isn't the spot), or anything else. Location is downtown Milton so parking can be tough during peak times.

I like their coffee as it reminds me of old school Timmies. I have tried a few of their other hot drink offerings but they aren't to my fancy. Their food is also just okay, but their English muffin breakfast meal deal is decent for $5. I'd say majority of things on the menu are pricier and aren't really worth it. Sometimes the pastries seem a little stale too.... I come for the coffee pretty much.

The staff are quite nice, although they do seem to be understaffed by one person in the evenings. This can lead to longer wait times and the two workers scrambling at times. Owners are decent enough people - although they make some decisions that I've questioned when I was at the till purchasing something. But hey, it's their business so they can do as they please I suppose - it's their bottom line.

Their wifi is complete trash. I think they have chosen the cheapest option from the internet provider. I often have to hotspot, and evidently so do many other patrons given the wifi options I see on my laptop when I connect to my phone.

All in all, it's a nice place to come and get some work done, or grab a coffee with some friends. Internet could be better, and it would be nice if owners could be more lenient on regular costumers who spend way more than they should by even coming here in the first place.

The baked goods are good but today I ordered a Asiago bagel with egg cheese and lettuce and when she asked if I was getting a plain bagel I said no I’d like an Asiago bagel and apparently that ment I wanted bacon on my sandwich?! I bit in and all I tasted was bacon!! I then went to the counter to tell them they made a mistake and she had to call over the lady that took my order to see what went wrong but in the process blamed me for ordering it wrong when I ordered it the way the menu asked choose ur bagel I choose Asiago (cheese bagel) nowhere does it say bacon lol then when the re made my sandwich she continued to tell me I ordered it wrong and embarrassed me in the cafe very disgusting I’m not one to caz a scene and she definitely got one…I was shaking with adrenaline because of how she made me feel when I did nothing wrong she made a mistake and couldn’t own up to it so rude! I had to end the convo with don’t worry I won’t be ordering again.not to mention they charged me for bacon and never gave me my money back nor compensation for the mess up I’m never coming here again and I’ll be sure to tell everyone ik about my experience!
