2024 update: Tried the chicken shawarma plate and what I received was basically "chicken on the rocks" with a salad on the side. I guess I should have expected this since the chicken plate with fries was the same combination. This time the flavour was much better overall but the garlic sauce was very toned down. I preferred the previous garlic sauce but I liked the overall taste and texture of the chicken this time so I think it's an OK trade off. I did however ask for medium spice and no hot sauce was put on the dish at all. This is after the employee explained the choices and I confirmed to go with medium. There weren't any other customers at the time as they had already been served or were waiting so I'm not sure why this was missed.

The rice was great, perfectly cooked, little bit of chicken flavour from the shawarma on top.

The salad is still terrible and I don't recommend getting the salad at all.

I'd recommend this place now but I would hope they find a way to ensure order accuracy.

2022 review:

Ordered the chicken on the rocks and one chicken shawarma plate with fries. They basically gave me chicken on the fries with a salad on the side.

Chicken on the rocks: garlic sauce was good, the rice was tasty and while the chicken was not bad, the entire meal had a sweetness to it. It doesn't taste like traditional chicken shawarma. The hot sauce was OK, but didn't blend well with the meal.

Chicken shawarma dinner with fries: expected the meal to be separated like one of those compartmented plates. This was just chicken on the fries with salad on the side. The fries were extremely soggy and did not taste too great, would have preferred them to be on the side especially considering I could get the chicken on the fries dish for $5-6 less than the dinner version. The salad was good.

The staff were friendly.

If normal shawarma is too robust & spicy or you have a sweet tooth, this version may be better suited for you. I might give their other location a try...

Ordered the small chicken on the sticks. I understand it’s a small but there weren’t nearly enough fries. Nearly enough chicken. The chicken disappeared after 4 bites. Again I understand it’s a small but really? Super cheap servings. Not to mention the sauce job was horrible. I asked garlic and tahini. First only got garlic (the smallest drizzle which was called “standard”). So I asked for more because there was barley any to begin with. Again got the smallest drizzle of garlic. No tahini in sight yet. After asking for more because the drizzles don’t add up quick he charged me for both sauces and it was still a cheap serving. I’d say just go to James snow location to get properly taken care of. They’re not cheap over there

Edit: Again for the third time I understand it’s a small. But the serving was tiny even for that size. The “extra” sauce was not extra at all. It was the smallest dribble. Plus the tahini had never touched the food until I had to ask for a second time after confirming with you at checkout before the food was made. You’re a multi chain restaurant not a small business. You don’t need to be cheap...

Very BAD EXPERIENCE! Expensive in price and very Low/Cheap in quantity. Ordered 2 meals, a chicken shawrma plate and a wrap which costed over $40+. The size of the wrap was literally smaller than a cellphone and didnt taste good either(I couldn't eat that little wrap all the way as it didn't tast good). Talked to owner that the wrap was too small and didn't taste good for the price $15+ tax, but instead of realizing her mistakes, she becomes so arrogant and doesn't accept the fact that her service is bad as hell. I did show her the comparative prices at the other Shawarma Stores nearby who offers a better wrap for $8.75+ tax and way larger in size/quantity and quality. She was a pathetic in her customer service. Instead of helping she showed to be arrogant, forget about any refund or any compensation despite the fact that I told her that my experience is bad and I may post a review.
