YESSSSSSSS TO EVERYTHING HERE.
I’m so impressed with everything I ordered. Excellent recommendations from the owner.
I got the #28 Braised Pork Chinese Burger x3 #34 Oil Splashes Noodles. The Owner freestyled the pickled veg (carrot and radish) & chili oil chicken. I don’t know what those are on the menu. Mmmm but Damnnnn. Everything was excellent.
It may look like typical stuff you’ve seen at all Chinese restaurants however, I promise you will be in another universe after tasting the food at Tang’s House.
#28 is the pinnacle of all Chinese burgers. The meat is so moist, so well seasoned. The bread is cooked so perfect.
#34 is the best dry-style hand pulled/cut noodles, it rivals all “Magic Noodles, whatever noodle, etc etc” you can think of. I actually didn’t eat this hot and fresh like recommended but it was still excellent. I was able to separate the noodles, it was not clumpy, flavour profile is excellent. I love the hint of sesame. 💕💕💕
The pickled vegetables is so refreshing with the right amount of tang and I like how it’s cut, a smaller cube than your usual pickled veg and it just brines nicely.
But this cold appetizer chili oil chicken. Masterpiece. The owner was so insistent I try this because I stressed how much I like spicy food. This chicken is so unique, delicious, and definitely 1 of a kind. It would pair so well with a cold beer. It went so well with my noodles. It’s crunchy and spicy and the texture is what gets you.
My tummy is so happy and I’m ready to nap but I had to give respect...
Read moreAs a Xi'an local, I highly recommend this place. Not sure why people were giving low ratings, for me if the food is good and authentic and it's all that matters! We tried a few of Xi'an signature dishes and street food, they all taste authentic, especially the Biang Biang noodle, my husband said that was the only authentic kind since he had it last time in Xi'an years ago! So there you go, if you truly appreciate Xi'an local cuisines, you won't be disappointed! As for services, i'm sure there is always room to improve given time as this place just opened short time ago, just happy that authentic Xi'an cuisines are finally coming to GTA west and I hope it's here to stay! Also keep in mind almost all Chinese food are better served hot and fresh, so for those who gave low ratings based on your take-out orders, try to dine in to see...
Read moreOverall, it was a disappointing experience☹️. The $18 sliced lamb was not only unappetizing but also came in a very small portion. All I could taste was salt and an odd flavor. Maybe they kept the portion small because it tasted so bad? The lamb offal soup was equally unimpressive. The steamed pork with rice powder and the spicy chicken were barely edible. The only dish that was somewhat decent was the oil-slicked noodles, but even those were a bit clumped together. After sharing this feedback, the staff showed no concern, and the owner seemed rather unfriendly. Not...
