Firstly, let's start with the ambiance of the restaurant. As you enter Alioli Ristorante, you are greeted with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The lighting is just perfect to create a warm and serene environment that is ideal for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. The decor is subtle and elegant, with beautiful Italian-inspired design elements placed tastefully throughout the restaurant. The seating arrangement is comfortable, with an option to be seated indoors or outdoors depending on the customer's preference and the weather.
Onto the food, we started our evening by ordering an Italian surfer cocktail, which was an unexpected surprise. The cocktail was perfectly balanced, and the blend of rum and pineapple juice with a hint of lemon made for a refreshing start to our meal.
Next up was the mushroom bruschetta, and it was an instant hit. The bread was perfectly toasted, with a generous spread of creamy mushroom mixture infused with herbs and spices, making for an absolutely delicious appetizer.
For the main course, we ordered two dishes, Fettuccine Affumicato and Pollo Ripieno. The Fettuccine Affumicato was a combination of finely cooked fettuccine pasta, sautéed mushrooms, and a rich sauce made from sundried tomatoes and fresh cream, topped with a generous sprinkling of Parmesan cheese. The pasta was cooked to perfection and had the right amount of sauce, which added a burst of flavors to every bite.
The Pollo Ripieno was outstanding as well. It was a chicken breast that was stuffed with a mixture of and mozzarella cheese, which was grilled to perfection, giving it a charred flavor on the outside and a juicy and perfectly cooked inner layer.
Finally, we had the Pasta Pomodoro, and it was a simple yet delightful dish. The pasta was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of tomato sauce, garnished with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
Overall, the experience at Alioli Ristorante was one of the best Italian food experiences we have had. The quality of the food, ambiance, and the service provided by the staff was top-notch. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food, is looking for a cozy and relaxed dining experience, and wishes to explore new culinary delights.
1921 What an amazing restaurant in Mississauga . Not only does it find its place of pride among Italian restaurants but also carves its own little shelf. Besides the terrific Italian food available for lunch and dinner (a la carte only), Alioli serves the special menu to guests. what a I've never seen or experienced is the amazing service Excellent presentation of food and taste, penne pasta and salmon were the best....

Now on to the food review. For starters we ordered Crab Cakes & a Seafood Platter. The Crab Cakes were okay, loved the hint of saffron in their aioli sauce. I enjoyed the Seafood Platter…..the poached octopus simply melted in your mouth. The cajun shrimp was also a hit in this appetizer platter.
For main, we ordered the Spaghetti Pescatore, Orecchiette Al Forno, Osso Buco & Agnello. First the Spaghetti Pescatore…..this dish was served generously and I just enjoyed the combination of the shrimp, clamair and mussels. I did not somehow notice the crab legs but then again I guess it melted in the mix. The light basil tomato sauce in this spaghetti was refreshing. My daughter liked here Orecchiette Al Forno as she loves mozzarella cheese. The Bolognese sauce was tasty complemented the pasta oh so well. This dish may look light but it is very filling.
The wife had the Osso Buco…..which I think is by far the best dish we had that evening. If you love centre cut veal shank……this is the dish for you. The portion size is generous and literally melts in your mouth. I just cant get enough of the taste. The risotto was okay but I would preferred it more moist. Nonetheless, the Osso Buco is highly recommended!
Lastly, my dish…..the Agnello. My only complaint is that I expected a bigger rack of lamb. However, this dish is also recommended. I enjoyed the grainy mustard and pistachio on the portions, nothing overpowering….just right.
The dessert was basically the main attraction if you ask me……we ordered the Tiramisu, Cheescake & Crème Brulee. I know that most places have the same cookie-cutter dessert menu but it all boils down to taste. The Tirmisu had espresso dipped cookies in them, giving it that coffee kick during mid bite, classic Italian. The cheesecake was creamy and our had an assortment of berries on top….simply refreshing. My go-to dessert is always the crème brulee. That crackly, crunch and caramelized sugar on top really preps the palate for that creamy custard underneath. You need to order your coffee whenever you have Crème Brulee.
It’s a bit pricey but I do believe you get your money’s worth on this one. Good food and excellent staff……thanks for the experience Alioli. Definitely...
Read moreMy wife and I went for a pre-Valentine's Day lunch today. The service by the first server was wonderful. He was kind, pleasant, informative, and patient. He took the time to provide us with specials, choice of sparking or flat water, and gave us the time to consider all the options including from the formidable wine list. He must have been finishing his shift because he left and we were given a server who I think was more into cleaning the bar and the espresso machine. I ordered the rack of lamb (mid rare) and my wife ordered the penne di casa. We also ordered a Caesar salad that we could tell was way overdressed but the creaminess was enjoyable. Tasted a little bit like the Costco caesar dressing but that was just our assumption. When our meals came, I would say that for $54 dollars...the rack of lamb was a rack of sad. The lamb looked anemic, the bones were blackened which means they were not frenched properly and the bones were not wrapped in aluminum foil when they were popped into the oven. Ontop of that...the lamb was poorly seared and there was pretty much no truffle balsamic reduction except for a blob somewhere on the plate. Also, it was clear that the lamb was cooked inconsistently, almost like they were all parts of different racks and not cooked together. I had a couple well done pieces, a medium one, 2 mid rare ones, and one that was so raw, the fat wasn't rendered and the only thing missing was the fur from that lamb...it was that raw and also all of it was poorly seasoned. My wife's pasta was nice, however, the chicken tasted slightly old and reminded me of Costco chicken strips...it did not taste fresh at all. When I mentioned to the server that I had a piece of lamb that was completely raw...he jokingly offered to toss it back in the oven for me. It was unprofessional and that kind of service is just not acceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for fresh and delicious ingredients. If you are looking for a quick bite, go for the pasta. I am glad I didn't order the mushroom risotto, I'm sure it would have come out bland, either soupy or with crunchy rice and without any flare or creaminess.
Overall I would not recommend Alioli and would recommend that no one else waste there money here...especially if they wish to surprise their wife with a fancy meal for Valentine's Day eating her favourite cuisine. Very...
