barBURRITO — Restaurant in Mississauga

Unfortunate experience at my Go-To BarBurrito tonight. I usually hit this place during the day up to 3 times a week and the ladies serving the food are amazing. They load the bowls, listen to exactly what you say like "lots of.." or "just a little.." and I'm usually so happy I almost always hit 20%TIP while checking out because they make an absolutely perfect bowl. Tonight however there were 2 gentlemen working i had never dealt with before, so I immediately introduced myself as a "big tipper" if I get a nice "big bowl". It was all downhill from there. The guy making my bowl acted like he needed to feed a family of 10 with what was left so I had to ask up to 3 times for each ingredient before I was even remotely happy with what he was putting in. Nearing the end and sauce time i decided to give up, but did warn the fellow that I'd like him to cover the sauces with more lettuce, so that it doesn't stick to the takeout bowl. He then sprinkled about three more pieces of lettuce (no joke, exactly three small slivers of lettuce) as fast as he could and preceded to put the plastic container lid on the bowl so fast, all the while I am REPEATEDLY asking him to stop and and put more lettuce. At this point, in disbelief of the service I'm in the middle of receiving, i ask him if he is the owner to which he replies "No I just work here". I then1 said. You must always listen to the customer. When it comes to the food business and make sure they are satisfied. His response to me was, if he were to have listened to me and put more lettuce, he would lose his job.

My mom and sister usually come here and have always had a great experience. Unfortunately this time was not that great. There were 2 girls there who were struggling to understand our order and were extremely confused. My mom request medium hot sauce and the girl helping her kept loading her bowl up with more than that. It wasn't edible and we had to throw it out.

I called to let them know about that and when I requested the names of who helped us they refused to give out any information. I could tell she was struggling to understand me so I offered to speak in her native language to give her a chance to understand and she kept saying how she cannot reveal what language she speaks since that is personal information. SO THEN I asked her when a customer has a concern that they want to bring up to the manager how do they notify the manager about who was helping them. There's no name tag on their uniform and no way to differentiate between the staff.

The staff here was exhausting to deal with. If you have the patience the food is decent but if not, there's a shawarma place...

I had an absolutely perfect experience at barBurrito! From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience before even placing my order. They kindly let me sample a few things so I could be sure of what I wanted — something you don’t often see at fast food spots!

I ended up ordering the Twisted Shrimp Wrap, and it was seriously delicious! Packed with fresh ingredients, full of flavor, and perfectly wrapped — it exceeded my expectations. You can tell they care about quality and customer satisfaction here. The store was also super clean, organized, and had a great vibe. The service was fast but still felt personal, and the whole team had such positive energy. You can tell they take pride in what they do. I highly recommend barBurrito to everyone — whether you're a regular or trying it for the first time, you’ll be taken care of.
