Incredibly disappointed with my takeout here. I’ve always heard good things about this restaurant and since they finally came to Mississauga, I thought I’d try it out.
First, I called in to preorder the food to be ready a certain time because I wasn’t sure how busy they were and thought it might take awhile. The worker made a comment saying how it would be difficult for them to remember and I should of called after 20 mins but said they will take my order. I confirmed if I should call back and they said no. I show up 10 mins earlier than the ready time and paid, and noticed that the prices on the bill didn’t match the prices shown online. I asked why the prices are cheaper online and they stated that it’s the menu from the other location and that they’ll keep a note to update it. I already thought that it was expensive to begin with but to add another $2 to the prices when you get to the store, I was baffled.
My food was already sitting there so I got my food and left the restaurant. I felt the soup and noticed it was warm, not hot, and it’s probably been sitting there for awhile, even tho I asked to pick up for a certain time. Had I known that it would be left outside; I would of just called back to have them make it more fresh.
Second, I get home and notice that the containers have cold noodles in it. The soup is warm and I actually have to add the dill and other ingredients to make the soup. Luckily I was home and there’s a stove for me to heat, but had there not been one, and let’s say I decided to eat outside, it would of been really inconvenient. The portions are extremely small and they don’t even give a lot of toppings. If I’m paying $20 for bun cha ca, I would at least hope there would be a lot of fish cakes or ingredients. Also ordered the BBH and there wasn’t any pork hock or blood cubes. The container also contained cold noodles, when I say cold, it’s like from the fridge cold, and the soup was warm again. Honestly for the price that I’m paying for this meal, I was really disappointed and definitely not...

An Ngon Vietnamese Cuisine (formerly Pho Anh Vu Mississauga) is truly a hidden gem that everyone who loves Vietnamese food MUST eat at! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As a fellow 'Foodie,' my dear friend and world-class Pro Photographer, David Lai, takes tremendous pride in knowing the very best places to eat!
Not only does David know all the best places to eat, David also takes the time to get to know the restaurant Managers.
It was no surprise to me when David invited me to eat at An Ngon, that the food would be excellent and that he might know the manager.
"Might know the Manager?"
When I arrived David introduced me to the Restaurant Owner. When I met Ben, he immediately helped me to feel as if I was being warmly welcomed into his home, not his restaurant!
Ben is not only a fantastic Restauranteur, he is also a great 'people person,' who truly understands the value of being a dedicated 'human relationist,' immediately 'Winning Friends & Influencing People,' before they ever taste the first bite of his incredible menu offerings!
As David had invited me and because he was significantly more conversant in Vietnamese fare, I asked David to order - and as suspected, David put together a perfect lunch!
We started with a most delicious cold Vietnamese Tea, and the through the excellent service of our extremely professional and polite waiter, we then had exceptionally fresh Vietnamese Spring Rolls, incredible Chicken Wings, and then the main course!
The Beef Pho was HUGE! Chock full of the freshest possible ingredients, with lots of very tender, perfectly seasoned, thin slices of Beef, in an extremely tasty broth!
From David Lai's great recommendation, to the warm, wonderful greeting from Ben, to the absolutely fantastic lunch, I highly recommend An Ngon Vietnamese Cuisine (formerly Pho Anh Vu Mississauga)

Was very excited to try here and finally came in all the way from Ajax 3 weeks ago. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by absolutely stunning decor inside! Truly a visual delight! The place is very busy but we managed to be seated right away.. Btw, the house tea is unique and delicious! Started by ordering the Nem Cua Be Hai Phong or Crab spring rolls.. They were really tasty and as with everything else, beautifully presented but in my opinion, they're not worth the price.. Especially as it's not pure crab meat, but mixed with pork and shrimp as I found out after ordering.. My friend got the Hainanese chicken and broken rice, of which he found the meal was not too outstanding, a little on the bland side as typical of the Hainanese chicken but even more so.. He did say that the sauces and broth were amazing though! I ordered the Bun Bo Hue Dac Biet and the broth was exquisite, the homemade sausage was just okay, fish cakes were nice.. Overall, really not a bad bowl of soup! I would try it again on a different day to see if it's better. Then I ordered a large Cha Gio spring roll to take home and it came already packaged and sealed, nice.. When I got home and opened the bag to air fry them, realized they gave me a small order of only 2 spring rolls cut in half.. Obviously a mistake but it was so late to call and who would remember the next day? Anyway, overall really decent but not so outstanding as per the rave reviews.. I would try again on a different day to see if maybe they were having an off day...
