COBS Bread — Restaurant in Mississauga

I'm picky when it comes to the pandemic and the way my food being handled.

Unfortunately, not all the COVID-19 guidelines are not being followed here.

The lady before me paid in cash, she got her change back from the cashier. Then the cashier immediately proceeded to handle my bread using a brand new plastic bag, then she put my bread in the same plastic bag (she had her fingers in my bag).

While preparing my bread she also touched shelves and buttons and the cash register. I didn't want to argue so I just stopped ordering.

I don't find this location to be sanitary/safe. Hopefully she didn't service too many customers after I left before she decided to wash her hands.

I drove to another cobs bread location which is a little further from me, to place the rest of my orders. When I asked them about their sanitary practices; they said they wash their hands after any cash transactions. I also got my bread thrown out at this location after telling them about my experience and got a new one from them (I've been to this location many times and this location's customer service is top notch).

Based on my experience, when it comes to the pandemic & the way our food is being handled, I don't find this location to be doing a good job in protecting...

In all honesty this is a real review , this is by far the worst location in the GTA. If you like Cobbs just go to the Meadowvale location. I have never been to a worst location for lack of products and consistency. I can buy a baguette on Monday then come back Thursday and have a loaf half the size and the wrong texture all together. Also half the size of any other location in the area. I love sour dough and have purchased a loaf a week from different locations in my area and ever time i go to the Folkway location it is never sour and the texture always seems off. From flat croissants to underwhelming danishes you really never know what to expect. We moved to Mississauga in the late 1990s and after years of going to this location I have only meet the owner once and she came in with two small children who just screamed the entire time. Where the owners of the Meadowvale location we have meet so many times I lost count by now. The only positive and the reason I didn't give a single star review is the sales staff are very polite and try to make up for the baking issues by recommending what they think is the best...

If I could I would give this place a 4.5 easily. They are a bakery that excels at doing what they do best which is make some of the best artisan bread around. From the quality of the bread, freshness of the taste even days after I can't recommend this place enough for those looking to get some good bread! Anytime I am in the area I make sure to pickup something new to try and make a dish with. The staff is super friendly and helpful in case you are just looking for suggestions on what to try always ask them! They have great suggestions, the last item I had purchased was a french baguette and I made the most delicious breakfast meal with it. Next item I am looking forward to trying is there Brioche bread!
