Unfortunately I took off one star for the service because the person at cash tells everyone not to use their credit card to pay (unless over $40), only debit or cash. This was frustrating to me, since I never carry a debit card or cash with me, and I was worried that after standing in a long line, I may not be able to place an order if they don’t accept my method of payment.
I ended up paying with my credit card via Apple Pay (which was the only option I had) and the person was upset and scolded me, asking me why I used my credit card when he specifically told me not to. I didn’t appreciate this confrontation but told him I didn’t have any other means of paying.
It would be nice if they could put customer satisfaction/experience first and avoid badgering customers altogether about not using a credit card. A good idea might be to incentivize cash payments, and offer small a discount to customers paying with cash as many other places do. Paying for an order shouldn’t be an unpleasant and unfriendly experience.
It took me a while to get my order but I don’t have any complaints in that regard because I understand they are just busy and good quality takes time.
Also, I had mentioned I wanted to dine in, but they gave me my order as takeout, which ended up working out because my order took quite some time and I was...
Read moreA recommendation from my friend that ended up being some of the best Middle Eastern cuisine I’ve ever had. I cherish these gems so much because it’s so hard to find food from back home that hits the same way it does in the Middle East. Falafel Plus is a 🇵🇸Palestinian🇵🇸 owned location with food that’s authentically made with fresh ingredients 💕🥹
Starting from left to right: Falafel, Pickled Assortment and Veggies, Fattoush, Fattet Hummus W. Ground Beef, and Cheese Manakeesh
Portions were perfect for family style ordering which is super authentic to our culture in the Middle East. The food has fresh, delicious ingredients and tastes like it was made with love! All of it was amazing, but I’m going to give an honourable mention to the falafel and the cheese manakeesh in this review.
It’s very very hard to find good falafel in the GTA and Falafel Plus absolutely blew me away with their falafel batter. The fry of the falafel was perfect - crispy from the outside and soft and moist from the inside. Also a big hit for me was the cheese manakeesh. From the manakeesh dough to the generous amount of cheese on top - it gave me all the comforting, homey feels that manakeesh is supposed to give.
Last, but certainly not least, the customer service was impeccable! Shoutout to Hisham who was an...
