I attempted to post this 3 weeks ago, however it seems to be having trouble going through. I will attempt to post this review again.
I would avoid this Firehouse Subs AT ALL COSTS.
My coworker and I recently decided to give Firehouse Subs a try, and whilst the staff were friendly, that’s as positive as this review goes. To begin, they incorrectly informed my coworker about the menu. When asked if they sold Assorted or Build-Your-Own Subs, the worker stated that the only available option was an Italian Sub, when in fact a Build-Your-Own Sub was an option. Additionally, the subs were quite pricey and the service was slow.
Upon receiving our orders it was quickly noted that we both encountered issues with our subs. Both were falling apart and extremely over-filled - leaving us to reconstruct them several times and being unable to properly eat/enjoy them. The ingredients tasted old and un-fresh, the deli meats tasting either burnt or expired, and the bread on my Clubhouse Sub was extremely wet on one side (as if it had been dropped in water), and stale on the other.
In the end we both only consumed half of our subs before tossing the rest in the garbage. Immediately after we began feeling extremely sick and nauseous, almost to the point of throwing up. Continually we faced stomach pain, severe tiredness, and headaches as the afternoon went on. These symptoms continued for the remainder of the day before they passed later that night.
I wish I could leave a more positive review, however our experience was anything but satisfying and quite a disappointment. I will not be purchasing from Firehouse Subs again...
Read moreWent in with my buddy for a quick bite. I had the New York Steamer. Extra Mayo of course. Nothing like a little extra lipids to bring out the flavour of foods on the pallet.
The corned beef and pastrami was a good combo, decent amount of deli meats, lean thinly sliced meats with some nice fatty bits. Tasted great... Or I was really hungry. 🤣
The bread was nicely toasted all-around. Slight crisp outside and soft inside.
However... The corned beef laced flavour (garlic), all I could taste was pastrami. Mustard always compliments pastrami as well as corned beef. Couldn't tell if they actually used mustard. That's the problem, the commercial deli mustard (which is probably what they used) has no flavour what-so-ever! It's really bland! Should have added some Dijon. Also, I just checked the online menu... The NY Steamer is suppose to have melted provolone?!? 😱 Just like the mustard, you would have NEVER known it was present.
Despite it short comings, it was still pretty good but far from perfect. Reminds me of Quiznos when they first came out here in Canada. For the price of a large sandwich (you probably could make your own other and better); I'd thought it'd be a little larger. Also, if you look closely at the bread, the bread molds are very similar to the ones used at Subway.
Side note; a large drink is BIG, maybe a little too big! Like a supersized drink from McD's back in the days when it still existed.
Would I try it again? Not at regular price... I would; if there were specials, or some sort of deals, like other...
Read moreI recently visited Firehouse Subs and was pleasantly surprised by the unique Fire Department theme.
The atmosphere was fun and engaging, with firesuits and fire extinguishers mounted on the walls. I ordered a Chicken foot long sub with all the fixings and it was delicious. The combo also came with a choice of chips or soup, and I opted for the soup which was delectable.
The staff was friendly and the food was fresh. Overall, I had a great experience at Firehouse Subs and would definitely recommend it to others.
Update on March 13, 2024.
I came here to have lunch again. This time, I ordered the Reuben sandwich combo.
Rueben sub combo was a hit!
The sandwich was incredibly soft and delicious, with juicy and flavorful meat that really hit the spot.
The combo came with a choice of soup or a bag of chips, making for a satisfying and hearty meal.
Overall, a great choice for a meaty and satisfying...
