3.5 stars ... service definitely above and the place is quite nice.
Brand new and just opened! This Starbucks is overdue as the only other one is on the south side with the worst parking, entrance, and exit probably in Mississauga.
The cafe itself is quite spacious with very high ceilings and lots of natural light. There's a fair bit of tables of 2... some at bar height. There is a large communal table for those who want to sit in a group but there's only one. Their patio is quite large ... another 6 large tables are out there. Though it was a sunny day, I think the positioning of the store has a lot of wind blowing through the patio. It looked really windy. Since it's new .... the place is spotless.
I'm not sure if they overstaffed the first week but there's 6 people behind the counter with 2 more in the store. I don't think I've seen a suburban Starbucks with this many. Mind you they had 3 on the drive thru ... that's a nice touch for the area. They were all really nice. They actually said hi to you once you got into a store ... kinda like an izakaya except more shy and quiet. It was endearing and yet unexpected to see this happen over and over.
Ordering was easy and efficient. They had 2 people at the front so even if there was a line up, you really never waited to long to get your order in. One minor thing about their menu ... it's huge but because they use the menu space to advertise their newest thing, the actual menu is only 2 posters big with maybe a fraction of the drinks.
Matcha latte - bright vivid green and lightly bitter. This is no where close to the Tsujiri quality you can get but for a spot in the GTA, this one wasn't bad. It was a touch on the sweet side but I think that's in general for Starbucks. Appreciated how it wasn't a crazy amount of foam. One of the better matcha latte I've had from Starbucks. I could actually taste a green tea and not just hot water ha ha. 3.5/5
I'm actually happy to see this be here as an option. The other Starbucks was a nightmare to go into and leave. This one is far easier and the service seems quite good. Definitely a place I'll go to if I'm desperately looking for a...
Read moreI had a terrible experience today I've only been at the new one on world drive once before but I only work around the corner I thought how convenient I'll go there in the mornings now I'll continue to going to Tim Hortons at least they listen to me when I say no cream I give them the spiel that I am allergic to it they gave me my coffee I have to trust someone to make my coffee properly I no sooner get back to my office around the corner and I pooped myself I was going to go in your shop but no paper in either toilet you're doing a really shity job around the corner pardon the pun I don't plan on coming back to this location ever again I'm completely embarrassed I'll also be telling this story to friends in the adjoining units I'm sure they won't boycott you but at least they know how little interest you taken the new shop really not one roll of toilet paper in either bathroom but places for 3 does anybody even care anymore I'll remember that when you want to 225 fora little tiny coffee that...
Read morethis is the Starbucks location that is closest to my workplace. My coworkers and I will sometimes take a walk on our lunch break to grab some Starbucks. We noticed that there seems to be a new barista named Maddy who gives off mean girl energy… and it also seems as though she is a manager. We are not welcomed with a smile like we usually are as her energy comes off irritated. If I can be honest, going to Starbucks is our time to feel not stressed but instead I will likely never order at this location again because of her presence. I was about to order a drink and was told they don’t have any.. to which I said okay. As I am thinking about my next order she seems super agitated and starts telling one barista that she can take her 15 minute break. I then decided to not order anything.
It’s crazy how I used to come here all the time but just one bad experience can ruin the...
