GameTime — Restaurant in Mississauga

I decided to plan my son’s 2nd Peppa Pig birthday party in 2021 during the pandemic. Tammy Meharrie was absolutely the best planner that I worked with planning a huge party over 30 ppl in the semi private room. She was attentive to all of my requests even though there were challenges that we both had to follow through during a ridiculous pandemic, she made things work like magic. She’s really great at her job, working with your budget and any fine details, she even made sure Peppa Pig made her grand debut, and that was the biggest hit. As for food, we did the All-Inclusive Socialites, and everything I ordered was delicious especially the fish tacos!! Our Waitress Shanice, was absolutely the best and attentive to all of my guest and a few times she always came by to check in with me if everything was ok. The most kind hearted human being. She helped me decorate the private room, if you were frustrated the way things looked and you had to start all over, she’ll help you with no negative remarks. Devon the restaurant manager, was absolutely the nicest guy you would ever meet. We’re both from the Caribbean and we clicked just like that! Be aware, he will make you laugh! He made sure to check in to see the game cards and drinks tickets were distributed to my guest. He has your back regardless, if there was an issue, he kept it very transparent and cordial. I had one rude guest and we dealt with it accordingly.

In 2022, I emailed Tammie and right off the bat she planned my son's 2nd Blaze the Monster Machine private party with my budget. I requested Shanice to be my waiter again because she was polite my family members and was always attentive to my guest. My party went smooth, there was a slight change of the menu, and I was happy to try new things. Try the Bruschetta and the Elote Tinga Dip, amazing!! My son was giving me a hard time as we were getting ready to go home, and I couldn’t find my purse to pay. I went up to Shanice and told her I cannot find my purse, Tammie came down to help find it and she flagged her team to help out. Thank god for our husbands, I paid my bill and went home, hoping to find my purse. When I arrived home, I opened my front door and there was my purse. As I was about to call Tammie, I see my her name on my cellphone to make sure I found my purse. Regardless if I paid my bill or not, Tammie had the manners to call me and make sure I found my purse with all that cash I was carrying with me for the occasion.

PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING: I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment with the abysmal customer service provided by game time GT . Currently, as I compose this review while en route to another entertainment venue, I am compelled to share my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at this place. My intention was to enjoy a pleasant outing with my family, consisting of five individuals. However, upon entering the premises and approaching the front desk to be assigned a table, our expectations were immediately shattered.

We were indeed assigned a table, and subsequently proceeded to decide upon our menu choices. Regrettably, no waiter or waitress approached our table to assist us. As we patiently awaited the arrival of someone to attend to our dining needs, we eventually made the decision to depart from the GT without having had the opportunity to partake in our anticipated dinner or games. Our departure was accompanied by a resounding feeling of disappointment, amounting to a 100% letdown.

Despite my attempts to capture the attention of the staff or solicit assistance, I was consistently ignored. It is worth noting that there were two individuals stationed at the front desk, along with a staff of more than six people available for service. Curiously, the dining area appeared largely unoccupied, with many tables vacant. During our wait, I observed a group of four individuals entering the place , who were promptly assigned a table and served without delay. Notably, these individuals were of Caucasian descent, whereas my family and I are people of color. Our waiting period extended for a frustrating duration of 30 minutes when supposed to be 1 minute according to the manager .

Upon exiting the GT, thoroughly disheartened, I decided to place a call to the manager—referred to as Davin or Devon. Although he displayed a courteous demeanor during our conversation and offered an apology, it was of little solace to us, as we remained deeply dissatisfied with the abhorrent level of service we had received. It is important to mention that the manager was attentive and understanding during our phone conversation, providing additional context for those who may be reading this review.

Given the circumstances, I am left with a lingering sense that our family may have been subjected to discriminatory treatment, as we, people of color, were compelled to wait while our Caucasian counterparts were promptly attended to. This unfortunate experience has left a lasting impression of frustration and a perception of potential racial bias.

“Great Food, Great Vibes, and Arcade Games made up for what could’ve been a very bad night!”

We came to GameTime Eatery to join other Maple Leafs fans support the team.

We tried out Gametime Eatery on Dundas in Mississauga and had such a fun night with friends.

FOOD: The crispy shrimp and fries were absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and fresh. I also tried the buffalo chicken wings and baked chicken wings.

DRINKS: I asked for a drink that wasn’t sweet or salty—something more on the sour side—and ELLIE at the bar delivered! She made a refreshing cocktail with a hint of cranberry that was spot on. Light, tangy, and really hit the spot.

AMBIANCE: Loved the vibe —plenty of big and small screens, and the smaller ones had really crisp resolution.

Perfect setting to enjoy and watch a game without craning your neck because there’s TV’s big and small in every area.

SERVICE: Special shout-out to ELLIE, who was super friendly and efficient even though the bar was packed. She checked on us often and served everything with a smile.

Also, big thanks to SHAN in the arcade area. We had trouble with a machine after swiping our wristbands twice, and he came over right away to fix it. He’s accommodating and quite fast on addressing our concern.

EXTRA FEATURES: • Bowling lanes: Loved that you can play in your own shoes! Plus, the lanes have 4K video screens overhead—very cool. • Arcade: So many game options—driving, shooting, riding, and more. Something for everyone. • Parking: Free parking in the plaza—no stress.

Definitely a fun place to eat, drink, and play. Looking forward to coming back!

TAKE TWO!!! SERVICE: On our second visit, again we chose to stay at the bar. JOSH was awesome and efficient too. He paid attention to our specific requests.

DRINK: Dragonfruit Mule - Fruity Flavored with ginger and vodka! 👍🏻

FOOD: Toss-up Delicious!!! Berry and Walnut Salad Roasted Beet, goat cheese w/ chicken protein.
