HAKKA boyz is a Southern Indian cuisine restaurant boasting a bright and modern design. Upon entering, patrons order and pay at the counter, with options for takeout or dining in.
To sample their staple dishes, we availed ourselves of the lunch specials, selecting Veg Manchurian N Veg Noodles and Chilly Chicken N Mix Veg Noodles. The manchurian balls exhibit a moderate level of heat, while the chilly chicken pieces are palatable. The option to choose between thick and thin noodles for chowmein is available. Both dishes are served hot, showcasing the hallmark flavors of wok cooking. The incorporation of basmati rice in the fried rice dish is a highlight, given my appreciation for this aromatic, long-grain rice and its unique texture and flavor profile. In addition to our order, we also had deep-fried chicken momos, whose fillings were somewhat spicy but flavorful. These momos evoked memories of the momos I had savored in India. Interestingly, the widespread popularity of momos in India is often linked to the Tibetan diaspora that settled in the country after 1959, bringing their traditional recipes and culinary customs with them. Since 1959, a significant number of Tibetans migrated to India, primarily to areas such as Dharamshala and other northeastern states. These Tibetan people brought their culinary traditions, including momos, to their new homes in India. As a result, momos, especially the steamed varieties, became increasingly popular in India, particularly in the northern regions, due to their simplicity and affordability. I ordered a Cardamon chai as a finishing touch to my meal. Bit disappointed that the chai is not made from clay pot and instead it came out from a machine. The taste is totally different from the authentic chai in India. I still really love the chai which the vender in India boiled it in pot and poured in clay cups. It is so soothingly refreshing even in a hot day. Usually the cost is only 20 rupee (C$0.35) each. The most entertaining part is that I can deliberately shatter the clay cups on the ground; however, please be assured that these broken clay pieces will be recycled to produce new clay cups.
Generally speaking, the culinary experience at Hakka Boyz was decent. If you enjoy spicy Indian food and value a relaxing ambiance, then it could be a...

Visited here after couple of months.
This is the best I have had here till date. We ordered Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice and Chicken lolipop dry. It was delicious.
Also a big shoutout to Appu. She provided a very nice service during our visit here. She gave us water on her own, and warned us about the spice level of the food items we ordered. She has a very warm and sweet smile which makes you feel welcomed here. Kudos ! Keep up the hard work
Review Subject to my personal bias and experience as on Nov 17th.
We( Me and my wife) went there for a Friday night dinner. This place will officially open up on November 22 and they have an opening ceremony planned. So do visit if you are free on that day.
Well about our experience, the vibe and Ambience is good. The theme is the same as Dosa Boyz, the franchise is owned by the same owner I assume. The seating is ample and sufficient and looks easily visible from outdoors. The theme is a mixture of vibrant dine out and modern place with decent lighting.
What we ordered,
We loved each and every food item we ordered. The food was not as spicy and chilli the one you find in streets of India. So if you go with those expectations in Canada and dine, my friend you are preparing for a heart break. The food had it's balanced mix of spices and taste from India. But not as authentic as Indian street food. So yes, we loved it. But your opinion might differ.
Service, we loved it. Raghu the person who was serving and taking our order was super friendly and happy to take honest feedback. He was friendly and quick to serve us.
We loved the place and definitely revisit again and try other things from the menu.
*Update - Of lately we have been eating here like once a week.....
Read moreMy friends and I recently dined at Hakka Boyz and were thoroughly impressed. The highlights of our meal were the Fried Chicken Momos, Veggie Fried Momos, and the Chicken Wok. Each dish was deliciously prepared, as evidenced in the attached photos.
The momos were fresh, crunchy, and bursting with hot, scrumptious filling. The accompaniments of spicy sauce and mayonnaise complemented them perfectly, enhancing their taste.
The Chicken Wok was nothing short of phenomenal. Served with steamed rice, the chicken was customizable with our choice of sauce, and we opted for Manchurian gravy. It arrived in sequence after the momos, making the meal flow smoothly.
The Chicken Manchurian was a generous serving, so much so that two of us struggled to finish it. The quantity of rice seemed a bit less compared to the gravy, but it was a pleasant surprise as it showed the restaurant's generosity in servings. The gravy was perfectly spicy, catering to our Indian taste buds, which was a delightful touch.
Another commendable aspect was the cleanliness and presentation. The cutlery and plates were spotless, and the food was presented beautifully.
In conclusion, our dine-in experience at Hakka Boyz was thoroughly enjoyable. From the scrumptious food to the excellent service, everything was top-notch. I look forward to more such dining experiences at this...
