Attending the New Year’s celebration at Hillm Restaurant/Banquet Hall was an experience I would rather forget. From start to finish, the event was poorly organized, and it became clear that the management prioritized profit over guest satisfaction. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the issues we encountered: Seating Arrangement The seating arrangement was beyond uncomfortable. Chairs were crammed together with barely an inch of space between them, making it feel like we were packed in like sardines. This lack of consideration for guest comfort set the tone for the rest of the evening. Food Quality and Quantity The food was, without exaggeration, abysmal. The appetizers were served in what can only be described as sample-sized portions—entirely insufficient for the number of people at each table. The main course was even worse: • The salad had a strange, unpleasant smell that made it unappetizing. • The two small pieces of kofta were utterly tasteless. • The single piece of chicken served was so dry and overcooked that it could have been mistaken for shoe leather. It seemed like it had been sitting in an oven for hours. For an event meant to celebrate and indulge, the food was a massive letdown. Entertainment Failures The entertainment was just as disappointing as the food: • The DJ managed to miss the New Year’s countdown entirely—something I’ve never seen happen before at any celebration. This is arguably the most important moment of the night, and their failure to deliver was shocking. • While both singers performed well vocally, their choice of music was completely inappropriate for a New Year’s celebration. Instead of upbeat, festive tunes to energize the crowd, we were left with music that didn’t fit the occasion at all. Overall Experience The entire event felt like a cash grab. From the overcrowded seating to the subpar food and lackluster entertainment, it was evident that Hillm Restaurant/Banquet Hall cared more about maximizing their profits than providing guests with a memorable experience. This was my first and definitely my last visit to this venue. If I could give them a rating lower than one star, I would. For anyone considering attending an event here: save your money and avoid this place at all costs. Final Verdict Hillm Restaurant/Banquet Hall turned what should have been a joyous New Year’s celebration into a night full of disappointment and frustration. They failed on every front—organization, food quality, entertainment, and overall atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your celebrations or dining...
Read moreI am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the experience my wife had at the Galabeya Ladies Night event held at Hillm Venues on 21st February 2025. My wife paid 70$ !!! for a ticket that included dinner for six persons. However, the portion sizes and quality were far below expectations. The dishes provided, including 1 hummus, 1 motabal, 1 fattoush, and 3 pieces of meat rolls, were insufficient, and the main meal consisting of only 4 pieces of tawouk, 1 kafta, and some French fries was also disappointing.
Additionally, the Shisha, priced $39 !!, was not up to standard, and there was no invoice provided for the charges. We were also informed that charcoal tongs were not allowed, which added to the overall inconvenien
In total, my wife ended up paying around $120 for an experience that did not meet expectations. Given this experience, I am concerned about the quality of service being provided and whether it aligns with the standards you aim to offer your customers. Many women at the event, including my wife, were disappointed, and I fear this will result in fewer customers returning to Hillm Venues in the future.
I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and consider how your services can be improved for...
Read moreIf you are looking for a high-end middle eastern fine dinning food experience with quality shesha, Hillm is a must. Fadi, our server this evening was very attentive, from start to finish. The food is halal, well presented and the aromas alone satisfied my senses. Every food item is prepared fresh. The hummus and bread is a must starter. The bread is fresh out of the oven. The hummus is flavourful and contains only chickpeas with no filler. The mushroom soup was delicious! We ordered the premium mixed grill. The cut of beef was tender and perfectly grilled. The chicken was juicy, and the kebob was just perfect. The salad was also prepared with fresh greens, a light dressing, and included mint leaves too! First time I have had mint leaves in a salad. Loved it! The double Apple shesha is likely the best in the city! Love the ambiance. This is a restaurant for casual and special occasions alike. Dress up of casual. They can accommodate a party of up to 200 with a second floor for banquets. They do serve alcohol and have a well stocked bar with a bar tender that knows how to prepare a great cocktail. I didn’t try the deserts, but they looked fabulous too. This is our new...
