Update: I reached out to them via email per their request but no response. They are completely ignoring me so I guess I lost my $200 and can’t even get them to acknowledge or reach out to keep their customers happy!!! No one from my family is going to go there! What a disaster!
I had one of the worst dining experiences during my visit from the USA. On my last evening before flying home, I was craving a classic Pakistani-style bun kabab and decided to share a meal with my family. I went to this restaurant for a takeout, hoping for a satisfying farewell dinner. There was only one customer ahead of us, so the wait didn’t seem bad—until things took a turn.
As soon as we began placing our order, the issues piled up. They didn’t have shami bun kabab, which was disappointing but understandable. I settled for regular bun kabab, but soon realized several dishes were unavailable—some menu items were not available so we were told to switch to chicken or beef and vice versa. We ordered nihari, naan, chicken kabab, dahi puri, and chaat papri, and specifically requested that all chutneys and dahis be packed separately for takeout to avoid soggy food.
We were told it would take 45 minutes, which seemed fair given how busy they were. So we walked around the plaza and came back on time, only to be told they’d run out of nihari and that we should choose a substitute. We asked for a refund for the nihari and naan, but the staff member seemed irritated and asked us to wait. A few minutes later, she returned and said they actually did have nihari, and our order would be ready soon. When we asked how it suddenly became available, she didn’t respond and walked off. We ended up waiting another 45 minutes before the food was finally ready.
While waiting, we witnessed troubling hygiene practices—one staff member was handling condiments with bare hands, licking her fingers, and transferring liquids between dishes without gloves. It was shocking.
Back home, after 10 p.m., we opened the containers and were utterly disappointed. All chutneys and dahis had been dumped directly into the chaat, making it inedibly soggy. The bun kababs were cold and mushy. The chicken kabab was broken and looked unappealing. And the nihari? Clearly watered down with oil to stretch leftovers—it had no taste whatsoever. Most of the food worth $200+ ended up in the trash, and my family went to bed hungry and upset.
I called the restaurant to explain the situation, and while they suggested I return for a resolution, I didn’t have time to make another trip to Mississauga. They’ve promised to follow up, so we’ll see what happens. This restaurant really needs to address hygiene, cleanliness, service speed, and overall customer care. I’ll update if they...

Read moreUpdate to the response: I did email them narrating the same incident. No reply, no response whatsoever. This "email" and tell us more, and we'll take care of it cliché remark/reply by restaurants management team is more often than not just to clear their public image and look accountable on social platforms. They never get back to you and ghost you out completely. So yes, the team didn't respond uptil now.
Tried karachi Food Court today for lunch around 2:15pm. Had dhaga kabab, chicken broast, and halwa puri to begin with. The wait time was 25-30 minutes, which is fine, i guess. We were with two kids, a toddler and an infant. When the server announced the name "ahmad," I went to get the trays as my husband was busy settling kids on the table. When I told the server it was my order, she looked at me confusingly and asked again if it was my order (even though we placed the order together when we walked in before being seated). I followed her to the front desk, and she asked me to hold back my food tray to repeat my order or what my order was. Like seriously??? What kind of demeaning behavior is that? I already told her it was my order and then followed her, and she asked me to repeat it like a kindergarten student??? Mind you, it wasn't busy AT ALL at that time. Hardly 3-4 tables occupied. How rude and unnecessary.
Anyway, the food was nothing but salty and spicy. Even the halwa puri was extra spicy, lacking flavors, and so was broast. I was really expecting authetic karachi taste but was nowhere even close to that. Dhaga kabab was too salty and spicy as well. The washrooms weren't clean as well, and overall, the place looked messy. It's not worth it, not going back there, especially because of the order experience and then the food taste.
Also, the disabled door opening handle wasn't working there. Had difficult entering with minors, so i can only imagine how difficult and worse it would be for a...
