Extremely bad chicken biryani I order at the night of 16th February. The girl at the counter at 11.30pm was not at friendly in assisting. I was super exhausted from delayed flight and my checkin was on the board going on still managed to come to this restaurant to pick up chicken biryani. I got onion fried rice and butter chicken gravy and some chunks of chicken which was tasting butterchicken. The raita served inside the box was not closed so it all was over my jacket on the plane already spilling out of the container. The lady at the counter was interested to assist the people who purchased the items on sale instead assisting for takeaway service. I would not suggest anyone to go and eat 22$ chicken biryani and get butter chicken chunks and onion rice like tadka. Please be fair with customers money as it’s hard earned and keep some good reputation for your restaurant. And all the customers are not friendly using your online application especially in rush time to take out card and input all the details when checkin on board is going on and your staff is not cooperative accepting the pay on the debit machine. Owner please be considerate of customers money and the service you provide in assisting customers. Delayed flights are good help for your business but Dnt fool us by serving mix of all in the name of chicken biryani. And please taste your own food before serving...

Expect garbage and expect to get sick. I ordered the quesadilla (via the germ applicator 5000, who thought tablets in an airport was a good idea?), which when it arrived, had no cilantro and no chutney, just some yogurt and onions - for $20. The 2 end pieces of the quesadilla had a total of 3 pieces of chicken in them, I've fed animals better than this place fed me. I went up to complain and had to talk to 4 different people because no one has any idea what is going on. The line cook told me they have no cilantro, which apparently was completely reasonable, and they also had no mint, thus no chutney. I wanted a refund, they said they would send over another butter chicken, which I didn't want. They would not give me a refund even after much back and forth. Alas, I ate half of my sad quesadilla and didn't bother going back to complain when the butter chicken never arrived, I wasn't expecting it anyways. Then, 30 mins before boarding I got quite sick and had to enjoy my 8 hour flight with wonderful stomach symptoms. Look around, see how quiet this area is? Fooled me too, feel free to sit here, maybe have a drink, but do not, under any circumstances, order what they call food, you will regret it. Everyone who works here should be ashamed of themselves, regardless of what you do, do it well or don't...

Horrendous service! My boyfriend and I, each got a 15$ voucher for having a delayed flight so we decided to order from here. One of the vouchers wasn’t being accepted. I asked for help, the host went to get a manager after scanning my boarding pass and seeing that the voucher was still very much available. The manager was no more help. Told me that it was either cause I had already used it or because the system was down. If the other one worked how was the system down??? I asked if they were able to figure something out and the manager said he couldn’t help me and it wasn’t his fault if the system didn’t work. I don’t understand why there is such a system but there shouldn’t be.

I also waited 20 minutes for a salad…I had to go to the counter and ask for it as it was sitting on the counter for who knows how long.

For the salad itself, it was an Indian spice chicken Caesar salad. The cilantro chutney and chicken were very tasty but the amount was limited. Ratio of chicken to lettuce was ridiculous. I think i had 4 pieces of tomato and for the cucumber, there was chopped pieces, whole slices and half...

Marathi is an indian restaurant located in Gate E of Terminal 1 Departures at Pearson. Pictured above are the chicken biryani and chicpea masala. Both dishes are about $20 which is pricey but on par for most restaurant options. The food was tasty enough, though not overly flavourful. The meal sizes are filling however, and with Gate E being one of the smaller departure sections, its worth a try if your craving Indian food.

The cuisine was OK, nothing really special , just airport (expensive food). No real meaning of this type of restaurant. You have to order using a IPad, so the service is at minimum and if you sit to near to the counter they will ask you to order or to leave. Do not wait for any service after the delivery, not even a word during the delivery. A little bit disappointed seems good on paper but not really!

This restaurant is located near Gate E 78 at the Toronto Pearson International Airport. Awful food!! Probably the chef doesn't know how to cook Indian food. May be other dishes are good but my Peas and Paneer curry was awful. Rice were also undercooked. Service is great and you can directly order from the table using the iPad. Will try something else next time. Till then it stays at 1 star.
